You were headed north on the 67 approaching Mapleview. I was headed south. I was too busy straining my neck to check out your truck to wave.

No explanation. The inner joint fell apart. Either the C clip wasn't on there properly or the cage was installed backwards.

How do you like the Front Runner RTT? I was considering some of the big name RTT manufactures, but none of them offer a tent as light as the Front Runner.
Has it held up ok? Any regrets?

I’ll say this... it’s light, I mash on my truck hard, it’s held up great and was a great price I have 0 regrets. You can do some minor small upgrades to make it better, I bought a rei exped duo XL sleeping mat (the green one) best night sleep you can have in a rtt and I added some led lighting inside w a 2100mah bat pack and it’s perfect. The ladder isn’t quite as sturdy as I’d like but it’s held up fine. Other than that I’d say go for it

OK so Day 3 LT install update....

Day 1 - it was 103 by noon, and I had stuff to do in the morning so no progress made :sadviolin:

Day 2 - got to work by 7:30 had a 60-minute break at 9 am to get stuff at home depot

work completed - Deaver bushings replaced
Bumps and Bypasses taped and prepped for install
Preliminary bed cage measurement and placement work done

Here is the table of goodies ready to get installed

Day 3 - Confirmation this morning with Camburg on bed cage bolt hole locations, this was holding me back yesterday from cutting into the bed because I was unsure on the bolt hole alignment, the holes are smaller than the bolts so you have to drill them out to fit. I will post pics and a complete install thread once everything is done so everyone can learn from my install. Camburg does not have an install guide like TC has for their rear kit so I'm going to make one.

I will have more progress tonight, I will be getting the bed installed today I hope then the rest of the week will be leaf spring placement and perch install.

That is all for now.. stay tuned

you mean shim stack etc? If so ill have to double check with DSM, i talked to their guys and they know my front setup which is custom valved and sprung, so they just ordered what they thought i needed so honestly not sure but it will be on the tag. Ill check on that when I get home today

yeah after doing some research the 2.0 2" were all i needed based on the bump zone and ride zone of the bypass, its enough to control the last 2"'s of travel so ill see how it goes.

absolutely, if your MT rear its plenty. really from what ive read only need for 4" bumps is on the linked rear trophy truck type #'s in the rear. Im not an expert so i could be wrong, but pretty much everything ive seen up to 20+ inches of travel on LT trucks most guys use 2.0 2 or 2.5" bumps

I'm excited to see how it turns out Bruce. I finally finished mine. Had to fab the bed cage as I previously mentioned. All the travel and everything was done for the weight I will be carrying in the truck. Empty I have quite a bit of rake going on.
