What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

Being a part of this self help group is conflicting. I'm proud and ashamed of it.

 

That'd be SWEEEET. You might know this from my posts, but I'm generally not a fan of 6" lifts, but yours looks awesome! You ought to do a build thread, not as many active 2nd gens on there.

 

Ill get around to it one day. If you ever come to HI, you'll be amazed at the shear number of lifted Old skool toyotas, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas and yoked 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen tundras there are!


On a side note, this was my 1st '01 gen tacoma, ended up selling her for 12g

 

Temporarily added a rear window graphic while I decide whether it stays or goes.....

 

Would love to own an older Taco. It'd make a nice prairie dog hunting pickup out here in CO.

 

Got my deflectors today, will likely wait till the weekend to put em on.

 

Anxious to see how they look. I'm always going back and forth with getting those.

 

This is as clean as I think I'll ever be able to get my truck. Within minutes of it being outside, it's covered in pollen. I love being next to a national forest, but for the pollen from the pines.

 

@matluth has em and they look pretty sharp on his. I'm blaming my wanting for a Ranch Hand grille guard on him too.

 

Just got 50% ceramic tint on front side windows and 35% brow. I care more about seeing at night than I do the matching front and back. Heat reduction is amazing!

 

Nice! It's like an oven in there without a tint

 

I know it! Especially in the south!

 

Washed and waxed the tundy today.



Now to top it all off with a nice daytime brew

No better way to do a Sunday (except a nice mod) now, to finish it off with some grilling and chilling! The 'MURICA way!!

Put the window and hood deflectors on, got my backseat handles wrapped, and cleaned the interior. Had to get the alignment checked on Saturday, turns out that my front tires were out of balance. Now that that's done my steering wheel isn't vibrating at highway speed, thank God lol.

Oh and picked up some touch up paint for the various nicks and scratches.

 

Ordered LED lights, plasti dipped my grill and emblems this weekend, leveling kit came in, sun deflectors coming in today. Probably wait to tint my windows before putting them on.

 

washed it. Black looks so sharp when clean.

 

Got my 13 inch shorty antenna and center console organizer from Amazon today. Put in the organizer, but didn't have a 1/4 inch wrench to take the antenna off

Installed new Toytec Boss rear shocks this evening.....much improved ride.
Celebrated with a couple of Bud lites and darkness caught me before any pictures. We all know what a shock looks like anyhow

 

What size and model of Coopers are ya running?

 

I had all these dang Cottonwood tree sticky damnits all over it and the only thing that would take them off was Isopropyl Alcohol, which also takes off the wax. So I did the whole truck in IPA, then Clay Bar, then some Meguiar's spay wax that was around work. There's really no point in putting the kind of work into it that I'm sure you do yours. I has to sit outside at high elevation and is covered in blown dirt and pollen in a matter of moments after leaving the wash bay.

 

Did a restoration on my headlights, did pretty good, but still have the scratches. Plasta dipped my Devil Horns and Tow Hooks, not real sure on the shade of red, but also didn't want to go to bright. What do you guy's think

 

Thanks Ron, not quite Razorback red, but close. My best friend growing up, his dad was from Arkansas. Big-time fan. I actually followed there basketball team when they had manning and day I believe. They won the championship.

 

Looks good, did you do any finishes on your plastidip, like gloss etc?
