466 currently. it’s slowly been going down since o bought it. The day I drove it off the lot I think it read 580. I’m guessing once it settles it’ll be around 380-420 consistently

Edit also I have the 38 gallon tank, more realistically the 30 gallon tank since 8 is to keep pump cool

Depends on the driving I've been doing. If I've just driven across SD doing "80" towing 6,000 lbs with a 45 MPH headwind, it'll say 250 (yes on the monster 38gal, should've taken a picture).
Up here in the mountains I actually get pretty good gas mileage, around 17-18, I guess all that engine braking pays off, it'll say 600.

we are starting to hit coolers morning around here but it just seems like a big jump for weather to be the reason for the increase.

580 out of the dealership and for a few months. Now around 480-490 but driving has changed drastically. was driving 50 miles each way to work on nice back roads. Now shorter trip but WAY more stop and go.

It uses your current average MPG (from previous trips) to calculate the range, assuming you will maintain the same driving style and conditions. Around town when I fill up I get a new range of just over 400. After a long road trip it is over 500. I have never seen anything close to 600 though.
You can reset the MPGs if you feel that the current average is not consistent with your typical driving style and conditions, and it will update more accurately next time.

For those getting less than 400 on a tank. Why and how?

Good question. I’m assuming driving habits and overall mpg averages with a lot of city driving or towing.

Drive across South Dakota doing "80" while pulling 6,000lbs with a 45 MPH headwind. You'll see sub 300 in the 38 gal tank

Normal. When you first bought it it hadn't really been driven yet so it doesn't have any history to calculate off of. It starts off near the Max every time it's reset. Once you've driven around while it bases the calculation on your actually driving so it will go down. If you reset your battery it will always be high again and takes months to come back down. Drives me nuts. I've had my battery disconnected 3 times now on my '16 and it always takes 3-4 months of driving to actually be accurate at minimum.
