Not that it's all that bad. But between 40 and 50mph I see the bed bounce in my mirrors. Not noticeable if your not looking in your mirrors, but it's driving me nuts. Tried extra weight in the back and that didn't help. Any other solutions out there?

I just let mine bounce. It only does it on certain concrete stretches.

Yes. I get it on my 17 but like I said, concrete only and only certain stretches of highway.

How many miles do you have? Maybe your shocks are bad?

I have NO bounce at those speeds either. Only concrete at high speed and nothing major.

I haven't seen this yet on my truck but this is something you should prob worry about. Have someone else drive ur car and you drive next to it in someone else car to see if there is something weird going on.

When inquiring about Kings with Ben Brazda of Filthy Motorsports he specifically mentioned/ recommended
the compression adjusters if you regularly drive on roads that have highway separators (expansion joints) to be able to tune out the oscillations they create on longer trucks.
I drive a few miles on the I-8 that are concrete and the bounce in my CM is annoying as hell.
Still haven't pulled the trigger on suspension upgrade- trying my damnedest to wear current tires down.... Hope this helps.

I have same problem but only on really bad parts of certain highways and I have owned my truck for 10 yrs and have had two different shock set ups and did not help I also had the new updated bed mounts installed since mine is an 08 and new part came out in 2011 that helped a little but still annoying

Used to really notice it in my truck driving to work. Now that you mention it, I haven't noticed it in a long time. Not sure if my suspension has settled in or if I just don't notice it anymore. I would feel mine on a certain stretch of the hwy I drive everyday.

The rear suspension is designed to carry weight...
    it's going to bounce a bit if it's empty - it's a truck.

Was going to say this. With a load I dont bounce, without a load the ride is rigid and I'll get hoppy on certain roads. Put some more gear in there and it'll ride like a caddy

Agreed, mine is loaded with tools regularly and I don't get any bounce. Wasn't there a company who made a brace that tied both bedsides together at the rear to eliminate this?

So what is everybody running for shocks, springs and shackles? Might be time for upgrade.

Interested to see what shackles/springs/shocks folks are running to reduce/eliminate bed bounce.

Rear sway bar slightly helped with the bed bounce on mine. Not a complete solution though.

    Oh one or two.
Coach builder shackles, Kick shocks, BAMF bed rack and the TRD sway bar and I don't notice it anymore. It's going to be there on all full size trucks when unloaded.

Hi Guys, I just came across this thread and feel your pain. I noticed the bed bounce instantly after getting my first Tundra back in 09. We tested a few things then.. added weight here and there, changed rear shocks, altered the stance.. We were then just testing a few different designs of shackles we had come up with, being able to improve ride quality, add some lift and correct the pivot at the leafs but still was not 100% happy with the result. 2013 rolls around and went at it again.. designing our completely new and fully machined T6 6061 billet Coachbuilder shackle. I was able to test on my personal truck making necessary provisions as needed over the coarse of about year and feel our Shackle design and material provides the most improvement there is to be made. We def like to set the stance up a certain way in order to distribute weight where it works best. ( Getting back to our racing roots ) the weight distribution is not very even on the Tundra.

I would be happy to help anyone in need with sizing or dialing in your application. Our Coachbuilder shackles are a system and include shackles, Poly bushings and a carrier bearing drop kit.
    +1"s provide .625" of lift.
    +2"s provide 1.25" of lift.
    +3"s provide 1.75" of lift.

    Hope this helps. David. 801-635-4872

it has nothing to do with spring and shock combo.... it has to do with the design of the tundra, the length of the frame, and the harmonics in the road.

I have seen this happen personally from every setup from stock, to bds kit with aftermarket icon 2.0 rears and leafs and CB shackles to full deaver LT rear setup with 16" bypass. You can tune bypass shocks to have less, but unfortunately there isnt much you can do to eliminate it, only reduce its effects. Yes weight on the bed helps. aftermarket rear suspension components help. But it will still be there on some roads in some way. Sorry for the bad news.

IMG_1083.jpg At 126.8" the RCSB has the shortest wheelbase of any Tundra, the bed bounced quite a bit when I first purchased the truck. I replaced the tires, resurfaced the rotors, replaced the leaf springs and shocks. I also mounted the springs under the axle, and added a rear sway bar. No more bed bounce.

Those were my thoughts exactly on that video. They showed the two trucks attacking that obstacle course at the tundras worst speed. They all do it at different speeds. They chose the best speed for their truck which happened to be the worst speed for ours LOL
