About to buy a new Tundra, and I am mainly looking at 2018s since they are being heavily discounted to make way for the 2019s.

So far, my best quotes/discounts I have gotten so far are:
    1. 2018 Cement SR5 Crewmax 4X4 w/ TRD Off-Road & Convenience/Upgrade Package with Tonneau Cover, Spray in Liner, Side Steps - MSRP $49,xxx // My Price $41,9xx

    2. 2018 Cement Limited Crewmax 4X4 w/ Premium Package - MSRP $49,3xx // My Price $42,9xx

Looking to see if they can get me a better deal.

I am very torn between the SR5/TRD Sport/Limited. What are your thoughts? And are those discounts good? Can I do better?

This is based out of SoCal just FYI.

    Thanks!

Get the limited for the additional money the features are worth it. The higher trim will command more at resale too.

Haha awesome! Yeah it's not set in stone yet, but it is at about 60% possibility right now. My 4Runner will stay in the family, selling it to a family member potentially.

If that all works out, I will be buying a Tundra, but 4x4 this time! I haven't seen too much info on what people are paying for their new Tundras, so I wanted to get a gauge as to how good my discounts look.

Limited is beautiful cuz it has the leather, sunroof, BSM, and heated seats (And JBL i believe too).

    Welcome!

Which one has a sunroof? (if you like them). Practically anything else can be modded in including nice leather seats by Katzkins.

Thats what I am leaning towards. Just don't know if I could be getting a better price or not, or if the price they quoted me is really good already.

Limited has sunroof. SR5 doesn't offer any trim with a moonroof here in the US. I know they do in Canada tho.

Keep it simple, get the SR5 and use the difference to get your first mod.

I'd go for the Limited, you can easily install TRD and other parts later, and take your time shopping for bed covers, lots of different ones out there. You might even forego it if you start liking Diamondbacks, toppers or racks. Same with steps, dealership threw in Toyota ones and if I knew what I did, I would have GoRhino RB's or ICI Magnums now instead.

We are a bad influence here lol :spending:

Yeah I was thinking that if I got a better deal on the SR5, to where it would be a few thousand less than best price on the limited, but since they are so close in price it makes more since to get the limited with all the extra features.

For sure. The only thing that really bothers me and my OCD is the lack of spray on bedliner with the limited, but I can always go to Line X. I just like the factory finish though, it is better.

    Thank you!

    LineX is better than factory.
Get the limited. You are getting a good deal either way.

I didnt like the interior colors on the limited and I dont care for leather as it's either hot and sticky or cold and uncomfortable. I've had moon roofs for years on other vehicles and never can remember using them. You could probably save a couple grand if you work over some AZ dealers in the Phoenix area but in the grand scheme it may not be worth the time and energy for just a couple G's. Get what you think you want most! I got a fully loaded SR5 because here in the southwest heated seats are rarely ever needed and I liked less chrome. The limited really didnt offer much else ? Auto climate control? Had that on my tacoma and was always adjusting it anyway. Love the SR5 with safety conv. Pkg, Trd offroad and sr5 upgrade pkg. Also worked trd dual exhaust into the deal and LOVE the way it sounds!

Are you trading in? Are those prices before Tax Title Doc Fees etc? In CA that can add up quick.

I know for a fact that SR5 price can be beaten in SoCal (Longo, in my case). In June, I was out the door TT&L for just over $42K (albeit, not with the convenience & upgrade packages). With '19s arriving by the truckload the ball is in your court.

Limited sounds like a better deal IMO.

Just got 10k off a platinum. Super white. MSRP $53xxx, my price $43xxx

While I want to jump on this deal, I really want to get a different color like cement or cavalry... thoughts?

    Fastest color. Sold.

    Welcome back @swaggyveet

When spending that kind of money, get everything you want. I usually have 3 colors picked out to give me some wiggle room. Tundras move fast.

Yep, went Pueblo for an SR5 Premium Runner. They didn't have it. Then they sold us a limited for the price of the premium.
