Is there any benefit to adding a throttle body spacer to a Tundra? I have read multiple forum discussions in the past regarding throttle body spacers, but I am still unable to determine whether or not, it has any direct benefit whatsoever. Thoughts?

I heard they just add some noise to the engine, like a whine. Dont know about any actual pros.

Yes, I have heard that as well. Years ago, it was claimed to be the big thing for bolt on power. But, now it seems to be history.

    These actually work really well.

Your wallet becomes a little lighter, and in turn better fuel economy.

Waste of money. You want bolt on power? Bolt on a super charger.

It sounds like you have some first hand experience with them? Do you have it on your Tundra, if yes, what make and brand? Also, you mentioned that they make better fuel economy, what type of improvement have you seen? Thanks.

Yes, I have seen plenty of friends try these out on various vehicles with zero results.

I then took all this data collected and went to the bar instead. :D

:rofl:I actually have a SC on order. But, I am planning on canceling the order because I don’t plan on driving my truck in the way that I needed that much power. Plus, I want to hold on to my truck for a long while and the long term results of sc aren’t as favorable.

@ARamirez73 I currently have the TRD CAI, aftermarket catback w/dual in/outs, so, I am not interested in adding more noise to the engine. :). It doesn’t take much for these trucks to produce more noise.

We try to be, but in a respectful manor.

Seriously though, go to the bar if you’re going to piss money down the drain.

    Remember to use UBER!

:rofl:Maybe after knocking down a few rounds at the bar, I get Uber to take me home, then, get my truck keys, turn the ignition on to see if it sounds faster. Wouldn’t drive it, just rev it a few times to see if the liquor makes any difference in the sound.
