Think I know what I’m going to do— keeping the roosts, as I paid a lot for them. Getting rid of the st Maxx’s as I don’t need that aggressive tread. Ideally looking for a more subdued, less broseidon look, with better on road performance. Deciding between the Cooper at3, Cooper at3 xlt, and Michelin defender. Each tire will save 8lbs, 5lbs, and 10lbs respectively.

    Thoughts?

That looks good, but I’m really trying to go back to some semblance of stock, not more modded.

By switching back to rounder tires I hope I can achieve that. I can live with the roosts if they’re on a less M/T tire I think.

Anyone have pics of 275/70/18 with lift and a/t tires?

IMO the problem with a lifted/leveled truck on stock wheels is the offset. It makes the truck look narrow and kind of wimpy. Bros don’t normally roll in a lifted tundra with black wheels so you aren’t in danger there.
But, it’s your ride so make it how you want it.

Maybe black wheels isn’t your thing and you would prefer a more classic wheel with a nice offset of at least +25 and a less aggressive tread?

Good point. I do enjoy my wheels. I'm going to keep the tires I have on (St Maxx) for atleast the next few months and then if I feel like I could use the gas mileage bump or the less aggressive tire I'll go to the new Cooper Discoverer At3 or the Michelin Defender.

Wonder what 275/70/18 in an AT3 or Defender would look like. anyone?

Going to get rid of those damn st maxx’s and put on the new at3 xlt in 275/70/18. It’ll shave 3 lbs a tire and give me a more plus side wall, and a better cornering drive.

And I think look better than what I have on. Not feeling the maxx’s at all.

If anyone is in northern Nevada or the surrounding areas, they’re all yours for a steal. Only 150 Miles on them

It’s either put new tires (xlt), stock wheels and tires back on, or get a 2019 limited

Besides the new at3 xlt, any other tires you guys recommend that are less aggressive, but still fill a wheel well and do well in the winter?

    Lighter the better. Doing 275/70/18.

I did notice with my st maxx’s in 275/70/18 that I have some cab mount rubbing on full lock... is that normal?

I run the Nitto G2 in a 275/70-18 on stock TRD Off Road wheels with a 1.25” spacer. The 1.25” spacer lets the +60 stock wheel sit on the truck like a +28.25 offset wheel - just at the edge of the fender. Looks pretty good and the G2 rides reasonably well in that size, even in LT trim.

That said, I am saving my money for a set of SCS Ray10s in dark bronze or matte grey and K20 tires in 286/65-18.

Not the best picture, but maybe you get the idea.

TundraLaw I know this is an order thread but what did you end up doing? I'm trying to decide between Cooper AT3 XLT's or ST Maxx in a 275/70r18 size. I will probably keep these on stock TRD offroad wheels at stock height for now. Eventually I want to level the front end with 5100's. Pics would be great!
