In 1988 a 79 F150 4x4 with a 351W, 4speed. My dads truck. Very similar to this one. Damn good truck, it did like to eat Saginaw power steer pumps.

Got my DL in my dad’s 1992 Land Cruiser. It’s probably still one of my favorite cars next to the E46 M3.

Learned to drive a stick with my granddad’s 1964 Willys CJ5.

Easiest ever. I grew up in a small town; driving instructor knew me and had seen me drive many times before. He literally just had me drive around the block to make it official.

A buddy that I grew up with had that car, actually his mom did. Celica GT, we used to cruise Myrtle Beach in it during the summer.

I had to parallel park this beast. MN actually had a very thorough driving test.
The one in CO is a complete joke. Ray Charles could have got a license in CO.

Got my motorcycle license first on a vintage Vespa, then moved to sport-bikes, currently no bike but would ride a Harley or cruiser now if directed funds that way.

Shortly after, got my driver's using my mom's mustang, knew back then they were unreliable, stuff in it always breaking down.

It was my dad’s farm truck. There was so much room under the hood with the straight 6 we used to joke you could sit in there while working on the engine.

My older brother bought it, and would always let me drive it. When it came time for the test, he insisted I take it. I bought it off him when he went to college. I loved that car. Awful in the snow though...

Awesome cars. We had the 123 Series (E-Class) 240D. The thing was as slow as you can't even imagine, but unbelievably well built and reliable. We had it from 1978 to 1994 and had more than 750,000 km on it when we sold it. The guy who bought it had it for a long time until I lost contact with him.
My twin sister did her drivers license test in it.
It looked liked this: (random internet photo, but same color)

Got my liscense when I was 16 in a 1979 Mercury Bobcat. It looked like a pinto but had a v6! Ran pretty good! Took me 4 times to vet my liscense! One time the gas pedal got stuck and I stompted the peddle and nearly put the test lady in the windshield.she said never mind the test and come back! She finally passed me because she dreaded seeing me comeback! Those were the good old days
