I enjoyed it, that's for sure. My young self sure thought 230HP with a 5 Spd Manual was the best combo for a truck....

It sure was. I can’t remember if it had a power steering or not. All I knew is that it was a stick shift with very hard steering and I had to teach myself how about o drive a stick. It was fun to drive because I were the only kid in my neighborhood that drove a stick.

My parents had a brand new 07 Two door Yaris. That thing was so easy to park and stuff I felt like I got away with cheating regardless I felt happy when I got my license. Still hard to believe that was 11 years ago. I had a permit for 2-3 years before the license.

When I got mine in PA in 98 you could take the written permit test on your 16th birthday and 2 weeks later they mailed you the form for the driving test that you could take the same day you received it. You could go from having never driven to fully licensed in roughly 2 weeks.

By the time my little brother turned 16 in 04 you had to have the permit for a minimum of 6 months and something like 200 hours of drive time before you could take the test.

Yeah I had a curfew and probably the same amount of drive time required as well and because both my parents got home about 6pm or so I didn't really have much time to drive. It took me a while to get the hours needed. That was when I lived in Connecticut not sure how Kansas City where I live now does it.

    Too many to list
My first Toyota, 1989 Corolla bought it during freshman year in college back in 95. Sold it after graduating in 2000.

My second Toyota, 2014 Tundra bought it in 17. I think it will outlive me.

I also grew up with a Land Cruiser like this. You just can't break those things. Most awesome vehicle ever.
Neighbor a few farms over had more than a million kilometers on his. Replaced transmission at 900,000 and overhauled the brakes at about 750,000. Other than that just oil changes, brake pads, tires and wiper blades.

That Ford 300 ci 6 cylinder was a torque beast, especially when mated with the granny low 4 speed.
