Gen X. Mainstream media said I’d never give it up. I bought super internet though. I’ll let you know how I fare. Anyone else have success? I’ve been disappointed in programming/commercials for too long.

    You talking cable?

I haven't had TV in about 17 years. I do watch an occasional show on Hulu.

Encouraging to hear. Yep. Wife wasn’t thrilled, but is opening up to idea. I have Netflix and Amazon.

Same here, we have Amazon prime as well. I do miss sports - but if there is a big game or race on, I will go to a friend's place or a bar and watch. I have the ESPN app, but it sucks and stalls most of the time. Also, during March Madness, I get a 1 month subscription to Sling TV. Can't miss March hoops. I really don't miss regular TV, though. The stuff I like I can get through Hulu and/or Prime. Good luck!

you never cut the cord, you are still paying for subscriptions. Just a different way :)
Try Directv NOW basic package. Still Live broadcasts and VOD + cloud DVR over the internet. Very easy to setup.

I'm a Millennial and I never attached to the cord. I have Netflix, Amazon, and Crunchy Roll. . . don't need anything more then that. I especially like that these paid services do not have commercials. We have satellite T.V. at work, and I can't believe pay for that junk. I mean, it is a paid service that is absolutely loaded with commercials! Why would you pay for that?

Yeah, but the programming is horrendous. And the commercials......good grief. I don't sit and watch the tube every night for some reason this way like I used to when I was younger.

Been a Netflix/Hulu/Amazon person for a couple years now

I technically have a cable account because it’s cheaper than paying for internet outright but I don’t use it

I cut the cord first of the year. I've got Amazon Prime, but never watch it. My biggies are IPTV for $20 per month where I get over 2,755 channels to include all networks, news, pay per view, all premium channels etc.. The one I enjoy the most is Terrarium TV which is FREE, and is more like a VOD. You get every TV show ever made. Every episode, every season commercial free along with any movie ever made to include all new HD releases.

I've got Playstation Vue, Amazon Prime and Netflix. We get way enough programming from those. PS Vue comes with the Cloud DVR, which is nice. I can watch my shows and access the DVR when i'm on the road (also nice). Some things to get used to but overall I like better than Cable (i had Comcast here in Atlanta)

Congrats, I just did the same a few months ago. I got one of those huge antennae and put it in the attic so we get a bunch of over-the-air HD channels, then we just have Netflix and Amazon Video with our Prime membership.

I get local channels free with HDTV antenna. Recently signed on to a great streaming service called Philo with 49 channels and cloud DVR (free). No sports (ESPN, thank god not subsidizing that crap network anymore) and no local channels. Still have Hulu and Amazon Prime streaming. About $40 for all per month. My friend/landlord has sick fast wi-fi because he and his wife work from home after they leave their office in our cal lab and have international clients to deal with after they get home. Cut cable cord and satellite. win..win situation...https://try.philo.com/

I cut the cord at least 10 years ago, cold turkey.
I started back up with Hulu & Prime a couple years ago, but only the bare minimum cost.

Netlifx, Amazon Prime Video and torrent (not illegal in Canada yay!) for us. Watching cable tv sucks. Commercials every couple minutes. Never anything worth watching. Yadda yadda.

This is how I do it:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/nflstreams/

The BuffStreams links are the best.

There's also sub-reddits for CFL, NHL, PGA yadda yadda. Probably NBA too but I don't know anyone that has the patience to watch bouncy ball. :D

Don’t do it man! Or use a paid VPN. Copyright trolls have crossed into the north, those that didn’t settle have been court ordered the maximum fine $5000.

There’s lots of these, and you can find them on several other forums.

I have OTA HD antennas in my attic, we get all the major Can/US TV networks, we cut the cable cord ~8y ago. It’s supplemented with Netflix and Kodi. We occasionally dl stuff like GOT, WestWorld using a proxy/VPN. NF dominates our kids’ media consumption which we try to keep limited.

I had direct TV specifically for nfl package. I cut the cord last March wanting to save money for hunting this year as I drew a nice dear tag. Haven't missed it at all. Never watch TV except during football season. I will just find streams when I can or even contemplating nfl rewind to watch the games later. After a few weeks you feel and other entertainment or activities to keep you occupied to we're you don't miss it.
