Why is 2018 Platinum ride so much better than my current Tundra?

A little about my truck 1st. 2010 with Bilstein 6112 at 2nd highest setting. Toyo 295/60/20 on stock platinum wheels. Rears are Fox 2.0 which I just put on a few weeks back to replace Bilstein 5100. Front setup probably has 15k miles on it.
I replaced rear shocks even though they only had around 10k miles on it. The fox improved the ride a little.
I test drove a 2018 platinum and was surprised at how much better it road. Made my current tundra feel like my old f250, well not that bad really, but still was surprised at the stock platinums shocks handled better even down washboard roads than my “upgraded” suspension
Are my Bilstein 6112 shot at 15k miles? Is there something else I could be messing up the ride? Do the 3rd gens just ride that much better than 2nd gen. Maybe I’m just getting old...

It's your tires VS stock that made the 2018 feel better.

I do realize the p rated tires would improve my ride but didn’t think it would be that much difference.

I haven't checked out a 2018 but my 2015 Platinum came with mush for shocks. Nice soft ride, sucky for handling. Maybe that made the difference?

My guess tires and suspension. You have off road tuned suspension and I would guess different rated tires.

Is there anything else in my suspension that might be causing the jittery ride. Truck has 120k miles. Shocks were placed a few years back but only 10k miles on them. I feel like it has gotten worse recently. Think the shocks could be shot already or is there something else I’m not thinking of. And how do I check if front shocks are bad?

Maybe you need to drop a few psi tires. Are your current shocks at the top setting? That stiffens is it up as well.

i have a 18 1794 edition that i swapped the shocks to bilstein and the tires to a heavy tread at; it is more than likely shocks and tires. My ride is different now. Tighter, louder, but better on the bigger potholes.

I’m on 2nd highest setting on the 6112. But I’ve been on this setup for over a year but feel like it has gotten worse in the past few months. Tires are at 40psi. How low can you run load e tires safely on road?
