what to do with old rotors?

    ok, so, what do i do with my old rotors? can they get recycled?

    Yes, take them to a local scrap yard and they will take them to be recycled. That's what I did with mine, well, left them in my dad's scrap pile for when he goes next :)

    Recycled mine at Atlas Recycling in Aurora near Chambers and Smith Rd. You actually get paid per lb....not much.....

    They work great as weights to hold down pop-up shades.

    Seen them used as a base, a couple stacked and welded to a pole, for a stand alone bench grinder pedestal also.

    +1 on this! If you are able to weld, keep the rotor as a base for a standing shop light, shop stool, or anything else that you can think of fabricating yourself.

    I would keep them. They are oem Toyota. Maybe have them resurface and sell them.

    That would depend on how much material remains. Me personally, I am not a fan of resurfacing rotors. I will always replace them with the pads. The more you machine off, the more likely you are to warp them. That just my opinion, anyways...

    Put them in your truck and throw them through the windshield of the vehicles that sit in front of that house that plays loud music all the time....
