    I don't trust the electronic read out on these cars. I keep an eye on what's indicated but always do the actual calculation when I fill up and it's always off by minimum of 1/2 mile to gallon.

    All I know is I took my truck in for a door handle to be replaced they said that the ECM was due for an update did it and my gas mileage went up. After I finished this tank was 20mpg with the computer and calculation.used a very light foot was highway

    I didn't even know about it like I said just took my truck (2014) in for door handle replaced they said they did ECM update. Maybe they got this from VW lmao

    It's most likely because of the reset and it lost all previous data to know where it should be for mpgs. Give it some time to "learn" again and see where it puts the mpg. I would bet if you calculated yourself by miles and gallons it would be different from the readout.
