What is the best and cost efficient lift 3"-4.5" for everyday use. This is not for hardcore off reading. Forget about tire size. I'm asking because there are so many different types and brands. I would like to just know from the pros and alike to weigh in on this. Brand, name, cost...

As for cost, around 2k? Maybe 1500? What is a typical cost for install? I am new to the truck world. I come from Subaru STI world and not too familiar with the truck world... just picked up 16 Tundra CM with TRD package.

i would probably stay with 6112's from bilstein at that price point. they'll get you to right around 3" max on the top setting but they'll also save you from likely having to buy upper control arms to correct your alignment.
uca's aren't cheap and installing them won't be either.

What is a typical cost for toytec boss and install cost? Is it better to order online and then have a local dealer /shop install?

According to th link, you can purchase this front set with up to 2.5". So this is also used to level the truck? Further more, link also states that "to maximize performance, Bilstein recommends a 5160 Series remote reservoir shock for the rear." But it's not necessary... Man... I didn't realize this can get very confusing with LOTS of different options.... In the end Money dictates what you want. I just want a nice setup with reasonable total cost....
Bigsapz, do you have just the front set and if so which set up did you go with? .75 - 2.5"?

6112's. Dirtydeeds set them up for me when I bought them.Lifted the front 2.75".
Left the Bilstein 4600's that came on the truck on the rear. Leveled the truck just about perfectly. Probably will get 5100's for the rear but don't really need to.
The 6112's are way worth the money.

The Toytec boss and ultimate kits come fully assembled and are fully adjustable to any hight between 0" and 3.5" lift.

How ride quality on these kits compared to the Bilstein 6112/5100 setup?

Has anyone had both? (or have knowledge)

I've had both the Bilstein ultimate kit that uses 5100s in the fully adjustable form and now the boss kit. Bilsteins are a def upgrade from stock. Ride nice. Little firmer in some conditions but a good truck feel. The boss kit is a little softer/smoother on the road. Bumps are taken up better.

I should have known that. Thanks. I know the Tacoma guys are really big on putting ome coils on 5100 s to get up to 3 inches on the front. Has anybody tried this with tundras or know if it's even possible? Right now I'm rocking the max trac 2.5/1 level kit but would eventually like to get up to the 3.5 so I'll probably go with the touted kit.

I read that it voids the warranty by mixing coils and shocks. Also you would have to look at the full extension and compression of the shocks and how the different coils changes that. Don't want to run into the issue of over extending the shock all the time with extended coils.

I'm running the 6112s up front and the 5100s in the back. Is that what comes with the ultimate kit or is it 5100s all the way around?

Ultimate is 5100s all around. The front 5100s are fitted with Toytec machined pieces to make it fully adjustable to any height and not just the increments.
