Who your provider is doesn't matter. It's just something they sponsor with HD to bring down the price of the LED bulbs. They might do the same at Lowe's, but HD is closer so I haven't checked.

Biggest energy cost saver for me was putting in about 2 feet of blown in insulation in my attic. Cost me about 200 bucks and a few hours work. Saves me at least a tank of oil every winter which can range from $500-1000

I was referring that I am not on oge and therefore cannot get any of the discounts they may offer.

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting that OG&E was offering an additional discount for being a customer of theirs. I was just noting that HD has sales on LED lights from time to time and are denoted by an OG&E-sponsored price tag. I'm sure you've seen them since you work there. I'm not sure how often the sale comes around or why they go on sale at that particular time of year though.

Yup that's a big $$$$ saver on energy since most of the heat rises thru the roof, but for cooling new windows with lowe/argon glass will save you lots of money.

in 2011 I the house was rocking the basic aluminum insulated glass windows, my electric bills that summer were around $165-$185. Now we did have a heat wave with 90 days of temps over 100, but damn my ac never stopped. You could feel the heat burning thru the glass on the west side of the house.
July of 2012 I had the Simonton vinyl installed, my first months bill was $85 and we had plenty of hot days that summer.

My electric bills in the summer now rarely go over $100.

The windows on the west side of the house are cool to the touch in the afternoons, there is no heat burning thru

That's pretty amazing! I've been looking into replacing my windows for that exact same reason.

Also keeps the 160° attic air from radiating down into the 2nd floor.
I wish I could afford windows but it's not gonna happen.
I have a ductless split AC, 2 indoor units one outdoor condenser. Keeps my 1500sq ft hous cool and dry all summer, rates electric bill from about 50 to 80 per month. Not too bad but could be better

It really is, lifetime warranty thru HD as well. When I had the break in back in june, they covered the damage, no out of pocket, very thankful for that. It costs $630 to repair that window
