I’m really close to pulling the trigger on a Zone Lift for my 17 Tundra. What do you suspension gurus think of this lift? I know it’s made by BDS and all that. I’m trying to get an idea of ride quality and longevity of this lift. Any pics and/or input would be awesome!

Minimal off-roading. Mostly pavement and only on dirt roads on camping trips and fishing trips. Just want a nice looking and nice riding truck.

It is a nice kit. Does not work if you have the TRD off road(yellow shocks).

Do you plan on upgrading shocks and springs? I have a BDS kit and they're known for outside tire wear, unsure if the Zone is.

I’d like to run upgraded shocks. And run something other than a block in the rear. I know BDS has tire wear issues and didn’t know if Zone has the same thing or not. I’m not opposed to running a 3/1 with coil overs. I just want a nice ride. I’ve unfortunately had the experience with spacer lifts before and want nothing to do with them on me Tundra.

If you plan on upgrading coil overs and everything else, I'd stay away from the lift kit and do the 3/1 unless you really want that extra 2" clearance underneath the truck. If you're set on the lift, I haven't heard anything negative about Zone.

It’s the same. Every crossmember drop kit I’ve had experience with did the same thing. They duplicate stock alignment specs. Unfortunately once lifted, we run lower offset wheels and wider tires requiring less camber than stock provides leading to that outside wear. With a good alignment and rotation it is manageable. Adjustable uppers is the only way to make it better, and a good alignment guy willing to do the work.

Are you saying get something that doesn’t require cutting? I’d be fine with a 3/1 with some nice coilover. I know I could stuff 35s on.

Not at all, do what makes you happy. If you go 3/1, then you need new upper control arms. With the drop lift you could add them and be better, but not required.

I ultimately want the best ride possible. If that’s a 3/1 I’ll happily get that. Advise is heavily needed haha.

I have a 7" with upgraded coilovers and secondary shocks. If I were to do it again, I'd skip the lift and just do the 3/1. The largest tire you can probably fit with a 5" is a 35, same as the 3/1.
