TRD Pro suspension vs. Toytec 3-1

Obviously there is a price difference and I understand that. However, my main question is if I do get the pro suspension will my 2016 Tundra then be level? I also understand that the pro suspension will only lift it 2 inches. And I'm fine with that.

Would I need shims in the front to level if I went with the pro suspension? And if so how many? And who sells them? Coachbuilder?

I have been looking at a lot of the Toytec suspensions and they look nice. However, I'm really Diggin the pro set up as well.

Basically I'm looking for 2 to 3 inches of lift and I want the truck to be level so I know I have some options.

I'm also hoping someone with a fox lift will chime in as well.

So if I wanted to do something along the lines of 3-1 using Trd pro suspension I'd have to put a 1" shim in the front and a shackle in the back?

 

I thought about pro suspension but for the money I'd get a stage two icon kit and still pay less. Probably go plus 1 in front end for extra inch of ground clearance. Plus Pro suspension lowers your tow capacity and makes you squat real bad from what I've heard. Icon will not. (Supposedly)

how much is the trd pro suspension in the USA?

 

TRD Pro Suspension = $2599 I got mine installed from the Dealership, paid $3800 that includes the alignment. Loving my setup so far.

 

Here in Alberta, Canada I called my dealer and its $3300cad for the suspension and $400cad installation and that includes alignment. So around $3700cad = $2845usd, with the dollar exchange right now.

 

list price is $2599.00cost $2288.00

 

Cool that's around $3000cad right now. Not bad. I'm just saving for the suspension can't wait till I have enough

 

Anybody have a Fox set up? And if so which ones?

 

@NUMB LOCK does, he has them on a 3in lift. I believe he likes them.

I've seen that but ICON and Fox set ups would help. Especially on Tundras to see how they sit.

I'm really leaning toward the TRD Pro with coachbuilder shims and shackle to give the tundra a level 3" all around.

But the icons and fox look tight!

Yeah, that looks sharp. Did it raise it a fell 3"? And is it level?

 

Yeah its definitely a full 3" but looks much higher with the 33" wheels. And it is level.
If I get a new bumper, I'll increase the tire size.

 

If you want the system that's fully tuned for Tundras right out of the box, Pro suspension is the way to go. If you want to fiddle around with adjustment, Fox/King/Icon, etc., will serve you well. Pro and OME are more of an install-it-and-forget-it type of kits. I haven't heard too many bad things about the Pro suspension (except the price).

What I would really like to get is OME BP-51, but unfortunately, they are not available for Tundras. At this point, I am thinking that they are not interested in developing them for Tundras.
