100% fake. Scoops on scoops. I’m sure there is an xhibit meme out there for this. I heard it has something to do with Toyota not wanting to introduce any more dust/air into the engine bay for reliability reasons.

Before I got rid of my tundra, I couldn't find a good way to install an auxillary brake light like BD RTL-S.

I wonder if the TSS can be disengaged and remove the sensor. I don’t really care for that feature anyways.

But yes, the truck is just “okay” in appearance. I think the color options are kind of lackluster. Black will look the best IMO. Kind of hard to follow after the Sand, Cement, and Inferno. Those were three really really really nice colors

I wonder why front parking sensors and tow mirrors aren’t included. I think Toyota should’ve color matched the inside trim.

Just be thankful it does not look near as horrendous as the rest of the Toyota lineup. The cars are just plain ugly imo. But just wait for the next gen..

They did the color matched interior trim on FJs. I thought that was an extra nice touch to make them stand out.

I really don't like those rims. I feel like they belong on a smaller car and not a truck like ours.

I think we are living in the prime years of the tundra from a production standpoint. The age bracket that currently enjoys the large V8, throaty exhaust, 38 gallon gas tank, roomy interior etc.. that’s a Gen X, boomer, and silent position.. maybe some Ys too, and there’s overlap, obviously.

We are already suspect of lower displacement, turbocharged engines, lighter materials, and more complex transmissions and electronic gizmos.

Ford has “moved on” to what the future wants, and as experienced as we are, we hold our suspicions as to the reliability and quality... and purpose of these new super trucks. Ford doesn’t disappoint as we see and read of their roadside failures often.

I say... soak it in guys. I love talking to my best friend about his new 65k aluminum Ford eco boost. I’ve even helped him wax it. It’s quite the truck.

I don’t feel the need to buy an expensive 100k warranty, or accept its lack of reliability.
    I don’t want the payment.
I don’t want the higher insurance
I don’t want the ridiculously high annual tag fees (California)
    I don’t care for aluminum
I don’t particularly care for the eco boost or it’s 10 speed transmission.
I don’t even like the auto off nonsense.

So does the Raptor, of which shares the majority of the above attributes excite me?

Ahhh well. It’s nice to look at it. Lol

Now the Pro... Finally a sunroof. Not a fan of the rims, they seem delicate... More show and less functional(that second scoop comes to mind). Perhaps if the tire was wider I'd appreciate it more. Interior is fine, but they have to work on a Lexus style plastic because the interior is easily scratched and not durable. Love the exhaust and intake. Other subtleties are nice. Not a fan of the price. Expected more from the Nav stereo unit.. Better definition, sharper screen, easier viewing in sunlight, etc.

Aside from that, what I'd expect from Toyota. Pretty nice.

Ooh yeah... Almost forgot, Toyota... Put the drivers side handle back on the damn truck already. Lol.

Yeah, I really wonder why they took this off? I don't know what the reason for this is. Anyone have input on this?

I read somewhere that it was removed because of a current lawsuit regarding it, have no clue if that's true or not. Or it could just be one of the things they had to remove to cut costs because of all the increased tss crap, truck still has to hit a certain pricepoint and the more tech stuff they add the more the have to make cuts somewhere else.

Agreed.. I am not looking forward to the next Gen announcement as I feel I will be disappointed. If they announce it will no longer have a big v8 then I will be going out to trade up on a 2020 or 2021 whichever year they decide to stop the gen 3. Maybe gen 3 lives on forever since Toyota has waited this long already.

Can't you just add the handle back on yourself? The parts aren't difficult to get.

The V8 is going away on the next major model change which is coming up in the next 2 years or so. The reason it hasn't done so already is because the current Tundra platform just isn't designed for a tiny engine on steroids.
