Toytec Lift with tire size

just got leveling kit from toytec, 3" in front and 1.5" rear blocks. My question is what size tires can I fit. with no alterations. its a 2018 tundra TRD

 

Stock wheels?

 

yes stock 18" wheels

 

If I'm not mistaken something like a 295/70 will fit. Should be about the equivalent of a 33.

You’re likely going to have to alter something if you go above a 275/70R18. 295/70’s will be very close to/rub the spindle and UCA’s with stock wheels and no spacers. Even on +12 offset wheels I only had to remove mudflaps and push the front liner forward, no CMC needed on 3” of front lift and 2.4-2.6* of caster.

 

295/70/18 will fit, but you might have to get wheel spacers if it doesnt. It'll be real close.

 

Setup same kit , only got 1-1/2 " shackles . Running 275/60 /20 , no problems

 

I'm about to throw some 295/70/18s on stock wheels with a Toytec 3/1, only difference is I did the AAL instead of blocks. I'll update my build thread when they're on. I bought spacers just in case. Didn't want to need them and not have them.

 

Any update on how those tires work? I’m looking at that size.

 

FYI guys, I just installed 3" front, 1.5" level kit (by Rough Country). I went with 1.5" spacers on factory TRD wheels and 295/70/18's. On my way to the tire shop this morning to have the bigger tires installed, I was rubbing big time just on my stock 275's when I turned into the shop. I realize all trucks are probably a little different, but my experience tells me that if you plan to run 295's on this setup, you will definitely need to do some mods to the front wheel well liner. Mine is definitely rubbing on the front, so at least I won't have to do the Cab Mount Chop... Just thought I'd pass along what I'm experiencing as I thought it was odd that the stock 275/65/18 rubbed with the spacers. Thanks!

I installed Toytec with shackles on the rear. Used 1.25" wheel spacers with 275/70r18 Falkens and had to remove the front mudflaps

 

This is the exact setup I just purchased except 20x9 wheels. Keep us in the loop as I hope to be installing all my stuff within the next week or so...

 

So my tires hit the skid plate, but that was the only rubbing. Easy fix. They are also really close to the UCAs, like 1/4". 295/70s on stock off road wheels and toytec 3/1 lift.

 

They almost hit the UCA’s probably because the stock wheel offset is +60. Stock UCA’s too?

 

Yes, stock wheels, stock UCA. I knew it would be close just from reading on this forum. Is it a problem if they're close but not rubbing? My mechanic said it wasn't an issue.

 

It’ll probably be fine unless you went off-roading. Then you might want to look at a smaller offset wheel.

 

I went with 285 75 18 Cooper AT3 XLT. Looks great and drives great

I wanted to see how the tire size looked. They look great. Wheel spacers wouldn’t be a bad idea.

 

Thanks, I really like how they look too. I test fitted the wheel spacers earlier and it will cause rubbing issues with the front liner and rear mudflap. Didn't look too serious though.

 

Yeah that happens with this size. Take the mud flaps off and then heat massage the liner.

What lift you have on there. Looks great

 

Decided to go with the 285/75/18 size. They turned out great and only minor rubbing on the front liner. Ground off a small portion of the front bumper and heat messages the liner to push it away from the tires. About 3/4 of an inch away from the body mount, so no need for a CMC. I really like the size.
