2017 CM Limited 4x4, all stock, 20" wheels, 275/55/20s, and would like to get to a taller tire without lifting. Planning to add the TRD sway bar as well.

If I go with 5100s. can I get to 65s or 75 height tires without cutting or a lift kit.

Will the 5100s get me there?

I was/am in the same boat with my 2015 limited, have the TRD rear sway bar installed already, once I burn through the current set of tires (next year) plan to either go with 5100 or 6112s. Seen a couple threads where people have fit 275/65r20 on stock wheels with only a level and only bending the skid plate. Where I live I don't want to remove any mud flaps. From what I read going wider may start to interfere with the UCAs

3 settings on 5100 on a 2017, top would be max ~2.3” lift but ride is the punchiest.

When you say ride is the punchiest, you mean the most uncomfortable right lol? I'm trying to decide whether to go top setting or middle setting. Is it dangerous to go to that height on the 5100's?

I’ve read people who want height with 5100’s have done top; or middle + 1 Coachbuilder Shim; or even middle + 2 CS’s. Each CS adds 0.5”. Stiffest would be 5100’s on top setting. I wouldn’t say it’s dangerous, it’s fine if it’s mainly a street truck.

However, I would recommend people on a modest budget who haven’t bought yet to spend more for 6112’s (if they weren’t getting a more serious suspension). Those are beefier for light duty off-road and users notice an immediate improvement over stock in ride quality.

That said comfort is more a function of the rear suspension and our trucks will never ride like soft SUV, but adding shackles with newly greased polybushings seem to improve it a bit. So does a sway bar for anti-roll comfort.

Aw I see. Thanks for the info. I see a bit of sand and a few rocky trails but nothing that the stock suspension hasn’t done before. I should be okay with it set at max height, right?

I think you’ll be fine but someone on 5100’s top setting would have to chime in.
