A couple of us are talking about doing a weekend campout/off-road run around Parker area. Nothing set in stone yet except dates - October 12th-14th

This will be desert terrain-so don't be shy as we welcome all levels and never leave anyone behind. Just be willing to help and learn with a good attitude. You don't have to have a super built truck and we are not out to destroy/damage anybody's vehicle.

Max 10 trucks so confirm ASAP for a spot.

    Gear requirements for this trip:
    · 4wd truck in excellent condition with all terrain or mud tires.
    · Spare and tools to change it.
    · Solid recovery points front and rear.
    · Complete backcountry camping setup. We will camp in extremely remote areas with no services available. Weather can be unpredictable
    · Make sure you have the appropriate gear and clothing.
    · Make sure you have enough water (1 gallon per person per day duh).
    · Bring as much firewood as you can.

    Confirmed:
    · @osidepunker Alex solo (2nd gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @n2deep Craig Solo (2nd Gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @Spolar Zak (3rd Gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @papasmurf Bruce (2nd Gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @Vizsla +2 (Gen3 Tundra)

    Tentative:
    ·

Meals: We usually share meals. One truck does a dinner or a breakfast one time. Then the rest of the trip you can relax and not worry about cooking. BYO lunches and drinks. Or we can scratch that and do our own meals.
    · Thu dinner:
    · Fri breakfast:
    · Fri dinner:
    · Sat breakfast:
    · Sat dinner:
    · Sun breakfast:

Disclaimer: This isn't a for-profit or organized event. We are just a group of homies who enjoy wheeling and camping and we are always looking to meet new friends. We help each other with breaks and stucks and we never leave anybody behind.

I just looked it up and have it marked on my maps as a place to explore- I am down for any ideas in the area - doesn't have to be Parker exactly. Just trying to do something central so nobody has to drive over 4hrs

This is close enough that I'll be able to meet you guys Fri night and leave Sunday with everyone. Assuming I don't have anything crazy to get done that weekend... but I should be good to go.

So.. I won't be able to make it because I'm a halloween freak and have to build stuff.... How ever.... I have a shit ton of old fencing if anyone wants to grab it for firewood. About 60-80 linear feet of planks.

Put Lisa and I as tentative. We plan to comeback from Ohio in October, but I think it was supposed to be later.

I have the race course mapped out, and there’s some other pretty cool shit out there to explore like Bruce and Jimmy already pointed out.

Is there anything cool to see or is it just the course? I want to explore and not race my truck- tired of breaking things.
Actually tired of fixing broken things

there is tons of cool stuff to see, we can take a run down along the river... there is some cool stuff along the train tracks, then some cool stuff in the hills, the desert bar, some great trails and then if anyone wants to i have my pontoon boat, will hold about 10-12 people and we can cruise the water in the evening and have some adult bev's and just enjoy the river and desert. Just some thoughts, we can run up near Havasu as well i think there is trails up there, havent explored yet.

If I bought a Jeep it would be destroyed by now. I am still suprised the Tundra holds up to the things I put it thru.

Dope! Glad to have you! We bring kids on our runs all the time.

I'm down to run parts of it. But like Craig said, I want to explore too. Do you have tracks? Send them to us

That’s a great idea. I assume you and I are about the only ones on this thread who have heard of that trail (it’s fairly new). Could be fun to include part of it.

@n2deep My time off is in the system so I'm good to go. I approve my own time off, but just letting you know its in the system now LOL

Also, I'm carrying parts now in case someone cracks a CV. Repair should take less than an hour. We should have done this a long time ago but its fun learning new stuff

October for us was definitely gunna be a camping month! I have always wanted to explore around there and sadly, never been to Parker either. I'm strongly considering this run
