Can anyone suggest a good set of headlight bulbs for the stock headlights? I have heard so many negative comments about after market HID kits and also LED kits. Also since the head light angle can adjust are the any lights to stay away from because of clearance? Any suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated. This is my first Tundra so I don't know much about them yet. I haven't even had it a week yet...thanks

I didn't want to waste my time with the HID stuff. I can see just fine.
These bulbs are kickass. A very nice crisp white. (Don't buy into the "blue HID" looking bulbs.
Just be careful to NOT touch the bulb at all during installation.

    BTW welcome to the forum!

Thanks. So you have these in the stock headlights? I am used to HID since the vehicle I had before my Tundra had them OEM. Kinda spoiled me I guess...lol. Thanks for the input

I'm using PIAA Super White bulbs and they're not impressive.

Sylvania ZXE bulbs. Find them at any auto parts store. They work great

Thanks for the head up. My take is that they are a little brighter than the regular halogen but white.

I emailed Daniel Stern and he recommended the Philips. Good enough for me.

I installed the OPT7 led arc beams (fluxbeam) in my 2011 and they work great. Designed for replacement of OEM bulbs in OEM housings. Great beam pattern.

I got a whole lot of Flaming from some forum members who automatically like to cause trouble but if you get a decent bulb just ignore them.

I run Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. Way more brighter and whiter then the ZXE, which are advertised as the whitest Sylvania has to offer. Awesome output for a halogen bulb!

I was looking at those but I haven't ever used led headlights yet. So they work good?

I think they are great, maybe not a longer beam but a good pattern that doesn't blind oncoming cars or shine in the back window of cars in front of you and they are very bright and white light (no blue tint). I'll try to post pic when I can download it to my computer.

What year is your Tundra? Mine is a second gen. 3rd generation Tundras (and maybe 1st) do not work well with LED headlight bulbs. I think that is where most of the negativity is coming from.

Mine came from Amazon also. I didn't find them anywhere cheaper.

Make sure you get the H 11 ones.
