BedRug, your experiences/thoughts?

I am considering a BedRug for my truck. What are your experiences/thoughts?

I was considering Rhino Linings or Line-X but I think the BedRug may be a good, if not better option.

The one big thing I am worried about is I will not be using any cover. The bed will be open all the time.

My truck is garage kept, which scares me a bit if it poured rain and then I park the truck in the garage. I hope the BedRug wouldn't get mold/mildew.

I have an open trailer that I can use for brutal things like gravel, mulch, dirt, or anything really messy. I primarily use the bed of the truck to transport my dirt bike.

I also need to be able to utilize the bed rail stem and my undercover swing case. It looks like both will work with the BedRug.

I was going to say it's not a good idea to have a bed rug without a tonneau cover or topper but then I saw this picture:

Waterproof and Stain Resistant
Water is not absorbed by the closed-cell foam bottom. Any spill or stain remains on the stain-resistant plastic fiber surface for easy cleaning.

Acid, Grease and Chemical Proof
The solid plastic polymer fiber can not be permanently marked by transmission fluid, oil, grease or gasoline. Acids, solvents, chemical compounds, or petroleum products will not damage the carpet-like plastic fiber surface or foam bottom. The closed-cell foam bottom will not soak up ANY liquid.

Easy to clean!
Drink spills and pet accidents will not penetrate either the foam or the plastic fiber surface, simply blot them up with paper towels or other absorbent material. Dirt and spills can be cleaned with soap and water using a garden hose or high pressure washer with detergent soap. Oil, grease, spills, and stains, can easily be washed out with soap and water from a garden hose or high pressure washer. Dry dirt, dust, scraps, or shavings can easily be cleaned with a shop or household vacuum. Odors cannot be absorbed and absolutely will not linger after all odor holding particles are flushed from the carpet.

I prefer the look of the Rhino line, but that's just me....what makes you want to try the bedrug opposed to the RL or Line-x?

I have a bed rug, and have had it since 2006. While the majority of a time it's under the tonneau cover, it's seen and been through every element you can imagine.
And yes, I have hosed mine out just like the picture after loading up a muddy quad. Any smells get washed out when you hose it off. Just let it dry in the sun after.

A used one in mint condition popped up locally for a good price, half the price of Line-X/RL. As convenient as the BedRug would be (nearest Line-X/RL dealers are over an hour away), I think Line-X/RL would best fit my needs. I also prefer the look of the spray in liners.

I am still up in the air about the bed liner. I priced out the rug and it's good quality, great price. But it's a rug. Now the Lynex is sweet looking. But the price is up there almost 500$$.

Same here for line-x. As soon as I can waste a day to get it done I will. In the mean time I won't be anal about scratching my bed, the line-x will cover it all up anyway haha

When i bought it it had a drop in from toyota.. ( hated the damn thing).. also ripped up the paint... I had to sand and prime and repaint... UGH...

I have a bedrug for the tacoma and liked it... Finding a bedrug for a step side took me 3 months to find one ( thanks to the rarely of the bed thanks toyota) i was just about ready to xline it when i found it...

Imo its each to its own on xline or bedrug... If you crawl in and out of the bed alot you will love the bedrug..
