Help me choose tires and rims

Good quality only, want classic styled black wheels in the stock size and offset as the 2016 Limited comes with.
Then fit it with new tires that aren't loud on the hwy but offer a little better traction offroad. Not mud tires or wild tires.
Just a little more grip than stock andnin LT load range E.

I have an unlimited budget.
The better quality stuff is never cheap.
Hopefully I get great quality.

 

The Toyo Open Country AT ii's look okay.
But i have no first hand experience with them.

 

Good tires for sure. Had them on my old 4tunner. I have the bfg ko2's on my truck now and love them.

 

Ya my next tire is the BFG KO2 but have heard great things about the Toyo AT2 Xtreme.

 

TRD PRO black wheels with Toyo AT/2's. I have them and like them a lot.

And unlimited budget??!!?? Whats that like?

Two disadvantages:

1) They're not snowflake on the mountain severe snow certified, just M+S.

and;

2) This is the BIG one - they don't have the macho monster mudder "look" of, say, the Cooper STT Pro or Maxx.

I have had nitto terras on my last 2 trucks very happy with them.last truck had 45000 miles on the tires when I traded the truck in and the tires still had plenty of tread life

 

Toyo Open country R/T or A/T II

 

Im with jburson 250 on this one! I have the Michelins on my truck, smooth ride,little if any road noise,and good in the snow.But doesnt have the aggressive offroad look! But that wasnt important to me.

 

The 80 series cruiser wagon that we do a lot of overlanding with has the Toyo AT's...good handling, quiet for an AT, seem to be wearing good. Definitely a contender.

As to wheels. I have always been a fan of factory wheels as they just seem to fit right and balance with no issues etc. Lots of nice stock wheels for sale here and on Craigs list.

 

I went with the Cooper ST Maxx. Not a true all terrain, more of a hybrid between that and an off-road tire. No complaints at all on or off-road.

Love the traction on wet-roads the most about them, and they are also pretty quiet.

 

Tires, depends on what time of driving you mostly do. Dirt, Mud, Sand, Snow or Street ... seeing as how your in Canada your probably better off following the suggestion of the members who drive in condition like yours.

Wheels, I believe that's a personal thing. What might look good to me might not work for you.

I just put these on my 2016. Have been running DuraTracs for years and was planning on them, but my tire guy swears by the Toyos. Says they last incredibly well. Time will tell on that. But so far I'm liking them a lot. Quietish on highway, but the treads clear out pretty well in the dirt.
