Life long GM / Ram owner just got my first Tundra....

    Yes, I am taking a lot of heat from my buddy's but, I just tell them that I wanted an American truck this time! My most recent truck was a 2015 Ram crew Outdoorsman w the Hemi. Absolutely loved the truck but it had 60k on it and needed some work so I went shopping. Couldn't make a deal on a 19 Ram so I went and looked at the Tundra. Took one for a test drive and I was hooked! Ended up getting an 18 crewmax TRD OR in Cement color.... Absolutely love this color!!!first week of ownership I blacked out the badges,ripped off the V-8 badge,tinted windows and installed a Volant (Corsa) exhaust. I come from the corvette world and have always run their exhaust along with most people. They are well known to have No drone and sound awesome and they sound just as good on the Tundra with absolutely no drone! Think I'm done with the mods for now, just waiting to get enough miles on it so I can run the piss out of it and really compare it to other trucks I've had..

    Not nearly enough room here!
    Welcome to the bunch Mark! When I was shopping for my truck back in 2010, I really liked the F-150....till I test drove one with Ford's lame 5.4 Didn't look at Fiat/Dodge because of the money they cost me in the past. Chevy wouldn't build a 1/2 ton Crew Cab truck with anything longer than a 5.5' bed, so that was out. My mistake was driving the Ford then driving the Tundra. Mileage claims were so close but Ford's V8 just felt too much like my 4.7 V8, I had in my 06 Tundra. The 5.7 V8 felt nothing like my 4.7!:D Most friends at work only know what they assume, so they kept their mouths shut, after I told them about their Canadian built Chevys and Mexican built Dodges:eek2:

    Just bought my First Tundra too (and first new vehicle). After years of buying my wife good, low mileage GM cars and having major repairs done on each one before hitting 100,000 miles ( head gaskets, leaking transmission lines, coil packs, etc), I decided on the Tundra for my new truck! Especially after I test drove one. I absolutely love it! We just went the other day and bought a new RAV4, my wife's first new car!
