For all us hard workers n players, when it's time to head in from a hard day at work or play and the dust, dirt, sweat on your neck or sweaty dirty t-shirt getting on your seat belt, is smelling a lil funky or getting dingy? Anyone wash your seat belt? I know you can't take off, but pull all of the belt out and maybe soak in some detergent? My '97 T100 since I've had since I got it was looking pretty bad, so I pulled all the belt out and put a clamp on belt so that it couldn't get retracted back in, got a small bucket with warm water and some detergent soaked n scrubbed rinse off with clean soaked hand towels, did several times, til it looked like new, my Tundra smells like colonge n looks a lil dingy I might do this as well, just wondering anyone else done this

I use upholstery cleaner. (Disclaimer: I have not read the fine print to see if it is a good idea)

Not on my current truck but I have done it on vehicles in the past. I think it’s recommended for proper maintenance of your belts. As well as replacing them if they get frayed. I wouldn’t use any heavy detergent as it could compromise the integrity of the belt. I would think a mild detergent like laundry soap or carpet shampoo would be sufficient.

My seat belt is always clean. I know I’m going to get a lot of shit right now, becuase I’ve heard it from everyone, but I have a bad problem of not wearing my seat belt :anonymous:

Make sure you keep that truck clean. That way you’ll get the most for it when you sell. Getting ready for that Pro baby!

I just know Joe Meyer is the one closest to you. I bought my 2011 there. They can gargle cement as far as I’m concerned. I made a google account just so I could leave them a shitty review. Only review I ever did. Gave them pretty much straight zeros on the survey.

Gullo in Conroe has done pretty good for me, but they don’t have a huge selection.

I havent purchased from Fred Haas, but they have a big inventory. One thing though: When I was there looking at used cars a while back, almost all of them had some major holograms on the paint. It looks like they have someone to shine them up who has no idea how to use a polisher. They were pretty bad. They’re not doing that to new ones I wouldn’t think, but if you get one there, I wouldn’t let them wash it.
The cool thing about Fred Haas is they are open Sunday and closed Saturday, but leave the gates open for you to look around. The guys there will even let you test drive them. Pretty good way to check stuff out without a salesman pestering you.

Tejas in Humble is straight up retarded.

Also, I have the contact info for a guy at Atkinson in Madisonville if you want it. He’s part of the Houston Tundras group. I haven’t bought from him, but a lot of guys give him praise.
