    One of the main issues I had with my cup holders they’re was to much of a gap and the cup would move around to much. So I grabbed a 3” rubber pipe connector cut it in half for the two cup holders and had to make a relief cut down the side to slide it into cup holder. They’re is still a little bit of a gap for the wawa cups, but my ZAK! Cup from target fits the best compared to RTIC or YETI.

    No worries bub. Once you have WAWA coffee everything just comes close to tasting like Wawa coffee.

    I used foam weather strip tapes. This one is about 1/8" thick and 1' wide. You can get thicker tape if you want a tighter fit. Here are pictures with different sizes of bottle for reference.

    ??? My Nalgene fits. That's the whole reason why I bought this truck (j/k... Kinda. It was a perk for me). The Yeti that keeps my coffee oh so hot moves around too much, though, so definitely gonna have to try OP's mod.

    I was going to post this as well. I loved that cup holder system.

    The rubber inserts were great for cups. Take them out and I could stick a small Gatorade bottle in there.

    Seriously. Not sure who designed the cup holders in gen 3. The gen 2 cupholders fit a nalgene perfectly. Had to buy a bunch of new water bottles to fit the stupid Prius cupholders they put in Gen 3.

    This is one of my pet peeves with the truck, the cup holders don't really fit any size cup well. I especially hate the forward most cup holder under the dash, all that fits is a soda can, nothing taller fits. The door cup holders are equally as limited. Every cup holder in my old Xterra fit a full size nalgene and the center console had rubber inserts. Such a simple thing to completely mess up.

    Man I loved my Xterra. The tundra is about the only vehicle in existence that gets worse gas mileage, though.
