Need transmission, differential, brake, coolant fluids suggestions

I have a 14 SR5 not a 4x4 around 78k miles. I got her on 67k miles flat and I do not know anything about the time before. When I did my first oil change, the oil filter looked like it was dropped in mud. I did about 3 oil changes since then just to get it cleaner.

I wanna change the transmission, differential, brake, coolant fluids. I am not asking for oil change recommendation that is settled. Just the things I listed.

Do you think I should or need it? What kind of stuff do you recommend?

    Thank you

Keep it with OEM fluids from dealer, IMO

If it were my truck, I would take it to a good dealer (if that's an option where you're at) and have the brake lines flushed, the coolant changed, the diff fluid changed, the transmission fluid changed, and the oil/filter changed.

If you're mechanically inclined and don't mind doing it, get the Toyota recommended fluids and do it yourself.

Thank you for your input. Unfortunately a good dealer is not an option for me. I do have a mechanic that is honest and does good work. He doesn't mind me getting my own stuff online and having him do it. I order my oil and filter from Amazon and he doesn't mind doing my oil change. I wanna do the same for the stuff above but I am not sure whats good.

Call or email a Toyota dealer to find out the specifics of the Toyota fluid they spec for the 2014 Tundra. It should be 0w-20 synthetic Toyota branded oil which is good oil. If I couldn't get that oil, Mobil 1 0w-20 synthetic. As for the rest, just get that information from Toyota. I'm not much on aftermarket fluids always being better for a standard street vehicle and you can order most of the OEM fluids either on Amazon or from online Toyota dealers.

You'll get a plethora of answers from any forum on this fluid is better than that fluid. You'll have to decide what makes you feel comfortable.

You’d be better off referring to your owner’s manual’s maintenance and fluids specification than a dealer’s service advisor, who may or may not know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.

    And BTW, “Toyota” 0w20 is re-labeled Mobil 1. ;)

And Oil Filter of choice? You see, I am a "converted" Ford F-150 and I used Motorcraft (Ford brand) oil filter for my '99 F-150 Lariat and ran it up to 180,000 miles. What is the preferred choice of oil filter for Toyota Tundra?

Get the OEM filters from the dealer. They are not expensive and very good.

Thank you for the replies friends but I am puzzled as to why most of you are talking about oil. I've specifically said that is not what this is. To clear that part out of everyone's minds, I use mobil 1 0-20 with toyota filter.

I need to know which coolant is good, transmission fluid is good, and brake fluid is good. If you have suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

o_O no one really said anything about oil.
I replied to someone else's question about filters. Several people suggested using what the Toyota dealer uses, and what the manual recommends. And one guy gave us all a helpful and much needed PSA on STD's

Get the stuff from the dealer.

Yes, coolant I use Toyota pink ultra long life. Price difference to any others is negligible, so why not?

WS ATF, I also bought that through my local dealer, as their pricing was better than what I could get Aisin or Beck/Arnley WS fluid for, so easy choice.

Brake fluid, I buy Lucas DOT3 for anything and everything that uses DOT3, as my local supplier sells it dirt cheap and it works. Not real picky on what DOT3 I use to be honest, but I do like to keep it fresh.

Diffs - I use Chevron Delo Syngear 75w90 because we have it in bulk at my work and I buy it cheap. It’s also an awesome GL5 gear lube.

What is more important than which brand is that the fluids meet the correct specs and are changed within the appropriate intervals for your truck’s operating conditions. Though I do have a few favourites as mentioned.

Don’t get me wrong I think Toyota 0-20 makes by MB1? I did oil change for my every 3k-5k and now 98k Miles 0 problem. I have used some MB1, Redline and royals purple but OEM Toyota 0-20 works the best for me if u love your truck enough u can till difference..
Coolant, transmission, brake better stay with OEM Toyota.

I put their Signature oil in today and I definitely can tell the difference. The engine is smoother running and the fuel mileage is going up. The engine even revs different. You can tell the friction is gone. Acceleration is even better. I used 0-20 with the Amsoil oil filter.

Don't go with the usual dealer 75w90 diff oil they put in as a replacement for the 75w transfer case oil.
60 a quart so 120 total or use alternative 75w as alternative as mentioned in the transfer case threads.

So far I see quite a difference in smoothness of engine and acceleration so far. Now to change all other fluids starting with the tranny then the differentials.

Try Amsoil coolant they work well and seem even better in the 81 Vette. I iswall their oil products and have seen the difference.
