Hey Ron, good catch, I'm waiting for a local custom shop by me to hydrodip that and the chrome cupholder surround. They tell me I should have it back Tues.

Need some opinions. Am I out of my mind to possibly buy these for 500 shipped considering I'm perfectly fine with my factory tails with the tinted reverse section? These are custom painted MGM and match my truck. I really don't got the money to buy right now and need to purchase some baja designs lights for my rear bumper real soon. I had zero intentions on buying taillights and full intentions on BD lights for rear bumper, but sometimes u got to jump on a deal when its there.

What u guys think, resist and get my rear bumper bd lights like I planned or jump on the deal and spend money I don't really got at moment. I really like these and always thought the winjet looking tails were nice ever since I saw them when they first came out. Figures it's always bad timing for me.

 

Lotta problems with the Winjets so it's a crap-shoot. Painting those isn't worth that either IMO even if they were rock solid lights. I'd pass.

Tnx guys, yeah I was aware of issues and actually heard the autosaver had less. Who knows. I asked the seller and he said no issues, but then again, I don't know him personally and he is looking to sell since trading in truck. He said they're perfect, but who knows. I like the look but as u guys mentioned there are issues. Some claim perfect, others big problems. Maybe i should just do as i planned and get the BD lights for bumper. Revisit down road when time is right and who knows maybe something better will be out. Last thing I want is to buy a problem, I already got enough of those.

 

I got a good laugh there Jim about deleting the post lol. Think I'm just gonna go with original plan. Upgrade tails later down road. I'm fine for now with factory and reverse light vinyl. Least no issues, that counts for something. I'm going to be getting some Baja Designs lights for my rear bumper. Already got wiring tapped to reverse plus an in cab switch, all ready to go. Just gotta decide on s2's or squadrons and what placement.

Replaced the crappy factory JBL System today. It was a long 12 hours, but very rewarding.

Sound deadened all doors, inner and outer skins, and rear wall.

Does the cab seem quieter? Which sound deadener did you go with?

 

The cab does seem a quieter. I used Fatmat - Megamat. I had used it years ago and was happy with it, so I went with it again. The doors feel soooo solid when you close them.

 

That's awesome. What a difference that stuff makes. I haven't done my truck but I did install some dynamat on two previous vehicles and it made a big difference with road noise.

 

If u can find me a pair of s2 pros flush mount or not, or some squadron flush mounts for dirt cheap I'm ready to pull trigger.

I already looked and only found 1 guy selling some squadrons but they werent flush mount, he said he had used as A pillar mounts for couple night runs. It wasn't a great deal either imo.

I have a feeling these will be much harder to find than the bedslide was lol.
