    Hello,
I just bought a 2018 Tundra Platinum. I want to keep the suspension sock no lift kits, or leaving kits, don't want any offset or anything like that. It has the 20" wheels on it now, but I want to put some Ko2's tires on it. Should I try and see if the dealer would swap out for the 18"s or as anyone put 20" Ko2s on the tundra. i seen pictures of the tundra with the 18"s but not many 20" without a lift kit. Thanks

Welcome. 18" tires are less expensive and offer more protection for the wheels. However, 20s are gonna have less sidewall flex in turns.

I do not like the factory 20s, but that’s just me. I would think the Dealer might be able to swap out, especially if you’re open to doing it on a used truck (since you’re changing tires anyway). If he has a chance to put brand new 20” wheels and tires on a used truck, he might do it.

Awesome that’s what I was looking for. What size tires are those? Did you have any fit issues? Any rubbing

I just did the same. I didn’t care for the 2018 Limited rims. Went to Texas Truck and Tire in Houston and got the 20” TSS rims with 285 BFG KO2s for very reasonable price. Was able to get some money back for the Limited rims and tires. Like the pictures above no lift and they fit fine. I know I could have gotten other rims but I like these and they are OEM here for Gulf States Toyota. Check eBay because Texas truck and tire also sell these online. Dealer wanted $465 for the TSS rim alone.

I've got a few pics of the 20's in my albums. I will be switching to 18's, but my reasons for doing so may differ from yours.

I'm in the same decision process, seems like 20s are a little better handling on roads, but the larger sidewall on the 18s looks pretty good too.

Hard to tell but did you have to remove the mudflaps. I want try to run the biggest K02 with no trimming or removing mudflaps on my 2019 platinum and also run the new Tundra TSS 2018+ 20” wheels which are 50mm offset.

So I am reading that 275/60/20 is te biggest tire to run on our Tundras no lift.

But then I find thisnthread which ppl are running 285/55/20. I think factory is 275/55/20.

Anyone know if 285/60/20 fit on factory height and no trimming?

Inwas going to go 275/60/20 but the I see TSoots truck and running 285/55/20.

I also have the new TSS wheels. I have a White 2019 Platinum and was going to do exactly like TSoot’s setup (before seeing his truck and body matched handles/side mirrors, flat black nerf bars), but now I am going to bronze powder coat the new TSS 20” wheels to be different.

My truck is a 2wd, not sure how much higher a 4wd sits compared to mine. I have zero lift and running 20x9 with +50 offset, which should be the same as yours. I've got 285/55r20 Bfg ko2's. It's pretty close but doesn't rub anywhere at anytime. 285/60's will probably rub, maybe not.

I have 285/55s on my stock platinum wheels and no lift without issue I'm pretty sure I could do 285/60s and still clear everything.

Which is a bigger tire? 285/55/20 or 275/60/20?

I didn’t remove anything, the 275/60/20s fit perfect with no rubbing. Anything smaller doesn’t look right to me.

Having similar thoughts about the 275/55/20s on my 2017 CM limited, stock/factory installed suspension, wheels, tires and rake at this point.
I would like to get a taller tire on there. Hadn't considered the cost of 18" vs. 20" tires until this thread.

Just went with KO2 275/55R20s with no lift or leveling on my 18 CM Platinum and I DO have rubbing in reverse with the wheel turned sharp. Just have to make sure I'm pointed in the right direction for quick getaways!

That's odd. Heck that's the size that comes on factory 20's. I've got 20x9's with +50 offset and running 285/55's and have zero rubbing anywhere.

Yep, my factory 275/55R20 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas didn't rub. I'm guessing it's the offset. Mine are mounted on SCS Stealth 6 with a +12mm offset...

Oh ok. I was thinking you still had factory wheels. The +12 would make them rub, I've seen guys have a +18 with the 275/55's without rubbing. It's a game of mm's lol.

Hello, I know this is an old thread but wondering how those 275 60 20 BFG's LR D ride and are they pretty stiff? Also how is the noise level on the highway. Great looking truck by the way. :)
