    Hello,

I made a post a while back about a rat nest in my engine. I have not blown it out nor have I vacuumed it. My main question originally was IS THERE ANY WAY OF TAKING OFF ANY PARTS OR MOVING ANYTHING THAT WOULD GIVE ME ACCESS HERE:

I can clearly see a dead mouse and a bunch of debris for his fort in my engine and I cannot for tye life of me get it out. HELP!

I would go to Harbor Freight or Home Depot and get a flexible grab tool. That should be sufficient to extract the rodent.

Of course there is a way to take things apart to get to it. Take the intake manifold off. But beware you may get some of that debris inside your engine and cause more issues. If you refuse to vacuum it before hand, that’s on you. Our tips were much less invasive than what you want to do. Why not give it your best to clean it out before taking things apart. Compressed air could maybe blow it out the back of the engine. You could try taking the fuel rails off and maybe you’ll have better access. But again you could get crap down inside your engine. You could get a vacuum and somehow rig up a smaller hose or pipe taped to the end that you could snake under the intake manifold and suck that little fucker out! I don’t know what else to tell you.

    No kidding?

Will a long screwdriver to break up the nest and carcass help? This would seem like a cut and dry job from what it looks like, but I'm not there.

I would also let some water soak for a while to soften things up if it is a hard, crusty mess.

I’d have to thank my old man for this one! After an hour of me trying to get it out, my dad walks out and gets it on the first try!

Hell, I still ask my Dad on a weekly basis for advice and guidance. Maybe buy your Dad six one packs.

I watched my friend get a DUI in High School on that one...

    Officer "Have you been drinking?"
    Ryan "[slurred] Not a thing!"
Officer "I'm going to only ask you this one more time...have you been drinking?"
Ryan "OK, I only had twelve one packs"
