Stahlbus oil drain valve

Anyone has seen these valves before or using them? They're made in Germany, they're short, and include a safety cap just in case. The reason why Fumoto valves never attracted me was the open end valve.

Looks really nice. Guessing drain time may be a bit longer, but worth it if no mess.

Anyone have an idea which one will fit the Tundra?

 

Nice design. Been looking at those Fumoto Valves and saw they have a shorty version that has an adaptor hose fitting like this one. Not sure about pulling the trigger on any of these yet. Something doesn’t settle with me on pulling away from conventional bolts. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

 

Damn that would be prefect on my cub cadet mower, wonder if I can get one to fit the Kawasaki engine?

Years ago, Fram marketed them as Sure Drain. They work well until you can't find the hose, which is why I switched to Fumoto.

 

If others are getting it, roll it up and put it in an easy to see place in the garage. Or maybe even keep it in the truck in case you need to have it serviced at the dealer and they need it to drain the oil for some reason.

Honestly, I'm still torn if I am getting one or not.

 

FWIW 3/8 cap works to cover the end of a Fumoto and can be picked up at a hardware store for $1.

 

Same here. Now that my hand model career has ended, I’m not too worried about dirty oil under the nails. Great concept. If I had to chose I’d give the nod to Fumoto (shorty version).

 

Hey how is that stahlbus working out? Is it worth 50 bucks?
