Saw another test group arrive. Maybe the 2020's? 6.2L in a 1500 series. Not sure if that's brand new.

I'm sure they will probably grow on me, but right now, I'm not feeling it with those lights.

I don’t hate that white GMC. But the Chevy’s. Ugh, just gross. As has been mentioned already, not a fan of the low rider look.

I still think Chevy has made a terrible mistake with the 5 or 6 different engine/transmission combos available for the upcoming Silverados. Less is more, look at Toyota.

Yeah I was wondering the same. What’s up with the front bumper on the white one? Is that a wrap to disguise it or did they think that looked good? Also the rear exhaust pipe on one of them looks like the trim ring was coming off. I think they look kind of whack. Last year‘s models look much better.

Whats with that cargo/brake light "bulge" piece across the back of the cab? Something else to detail. Wonder if it helps the mpg's.....

I think that's a built in snow plow. push a button and it drops 2 inches to perfect plow height.

I do agree with others the recent Colorado is a great looking truck. I'd seriously consider one over the latest tacos. but when the mountain dew nascar crowd gets ahold of these ugly arse full sizes they are just gonna get even uglier!

The exhaust is at an angle on each side built into the bumper like Ram. These are test vehicles with some unpainted pieces and camouflage.

Dude there's so many test drives here. I see them all the time! Last week I saw the new Grand Cherokee lineup with multiple SRT's in there. they weren't just cruising either, they were definitely testing them out.

    Nice pics...thanks for sharing!

Definitely 2019's. GM has offered the 6.2 in the 1500's for quite some time now actually. It's, IMO, the only engine worth looking at. With 425 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque in 2019 it's a strong motor ( I had a 2014 Sierra with the 6.2 )

I am going against the kool aid drinking grain here. :poking: In the right configuration/color I think the new Silverado looks really pretty nice. When it's time to get rid of the Tundra I will look at them but not without lurking at the GM boards at what new potential issues they are having. And we all know there will be some, it's just a matter of what they are and if they are able to fix them.

    Let me get this straight....
Chevy carries over the same 5.3 and 6.2 with the same HP and TQ numbers and no one bats an eye...
Tundra hasn't changed the HP and TQ numbers on the 5.7 and everyone flips out during the 2014 and 2018 refreshes???
I get that they threw several new engines but their volume engine is still underpowered compared to the Tundra's 5.7.

If Toyota does it then it becomes the wrong thing. Keep a reliable tried and true (with competitive power and reasonable mileage) and they're being lazy. Add in newer tech and the complaints roll in that they're being gimmicky. I just ignore it for the most part and enjoy not wondering if my truck is going to have a bad day and I'll end up in the shop.

Well 415hp is a step up over our 381. Cant brag about smoking the 315hp they used to carry any more. They also have 12,500lbs towing. I priced one out of curiosity and it was 56k with moderate bells n whistles. Would be a strong contender if my last Sierra didnt get flooded with problems at 40k miles.

NEWM i'll save you the trouble of looking----they will have AFM which means they will burn oil and eventually experience failed lifters. you'll have a 1 in 5 chance of getting one that is very rough on the AFM activation so it wil

When you mentioned the lack of ground clearance . I thought of a couple of my obese relatives who both drive Chevy trucks and always talk about how they do not want a truck that sits up high. Chevy makes both types of models. The stock ones that sit low for the vertically challenged or that have trouble getting into a three inch lifted truck and the off road models or LT models that sit up higher. I will be sticking with Tundra no matter what. Peace. D
