WeatherTech or Husky floor mats?

My brother bought me Husky floor mats for my first 4Runner, a 93. Since that time I used the same mats in my 2 other 4Runners, and a 2010 Tundra. It no longer fit perfectly, but still worked and protected well. I only used these when camping, boating and winter, removing them for day to day driving.

So now I am trying to decide which ones to get for my 2015 Tundra Crewmax. Husky has proven unbelievable in quality with 20 years of usage on one set, but I just saw a pic on this site of the Weathertechs and like the design better for the back as they extend up/underneath the back seat. With the new design of the Tundra, the Husky mat only takes a similar footprint of the factory mats, leaving that hump just in front of the seat exposed. My guess is the exposed carpet there will be a major issue for kids in mud. I like the features of both, where the mats are designed to have a large lip to keep snow/water in the mat rather than pouring out. This feature too was awesome with my Husky mat.

    http://www.huskyliners.com/custom-floor-mats

    http://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2...italfit/tundra-cab/crewmax/tundra-storage/no/

So, what are your thoughts? Anyone have both? Are the Weathertechs durable but also fit and protect well?

    Thanks in advance.

I have husky wratherbeaters up front and weathertech digital for in the back. Best coverage for a CM with that combo IMHO.

I have the Husky set up front and WeatherTech mat at the back of my '14 CM. The WeatherTech's in the back are great because they cover all the way up to the seat mounts under the seat.

I like my Husky X-acts, but wish they went all the way up under the rear seats. The double cab's design isn't too friendly for that though, with the rear seat brackets oriented like they are. For those of you with CrewMax's, you definitely should consider the mats that go all the way back since you don't have the hindrance of the seat brackets.

All right guys, thank you for your help. Seems an overwhelming vote for the Weathertech's, so I have decided to go with them. With the back seat, really the only alternative was to get the Husky up front and the Weathertech in the back, but I would prefer they match. I did pause at the 3yr vs. lifetime warranty of the Husky, but we will see... Thanks again!

I don't want to bad-mouth Weathertechs because they are good quality, but we have a lot of work trucks that get used hard; some with WT and some Huskies, and the Huskies tend to hold up better. The WT seems to fold around the edges when they get older.

What’s the best brand of all weather floor mats? I moved up to Wisconsin and the carpet gets super dirty in the winter from the snow and salt. I know weather tech is known for floor mats but looking at some of the other brands such as husky and Westin(wade) floor mats that seem to cover more surface area. Not sure how well they stand up. I heard that the husky liners lose their stiffness(shape) over time. Thoughts?

How do the Husky Weather Beater fronts look when paired with Weather tech backs? I want the WT rear coverage in my Crewmax, but like the look of the Husky WB for the front? Sounds like best coverage, but how does it look?

Husky will do better and fit your Tundra better in the front than Weathertechs. No loss of stiffness either. Both fit the back well but Weathertechs reach farther up under the rear seat.
Husky Weatherbeaters in front pair well with Weathertechs in back. Both have a kind of slick plastic appearance. Whereas Husky X-act Contours have more of a rubberized appearance so they would lol markedly different paired with Weathertechs in the back.

Edit: Auto Anything can offer you great discounts.

I gave it a go with the Huskies but I had to return two sets because the back will never relax even when under the hot sun. They looked horrible in the back due to them being shipped out doubled up to fit in a smaller box. As expensive as they are for rubber, they could have used a bigger box and set them down relaxed. I need to get a set of mats though because the 1794 mats are too nice to be used for salty winter.

This was my thread I made with pics of the problem areas. The front mats were thicker and better made than the back one piece. Like almost they had different manufacturers making these mats. https://www.tundras.com/threads/is-this-how-huskies-are-supposed-to-look-like.28020/
