Greetings. I've had my Tundra for 13 years now, 2000 2WD Tundra SR5 Access Cab 4.7 V8. I have just been told that she needs a replacement frame at 193,000 miles, warranty recall, purchased with 81,000 on it. The body is in good to excellent condition, and we just had the top end rebuilt less than a year ago after a water pump failure.

My wife loves her truck so we are going to go and put the money into it to get a majority of the "since we have it apart you should replace <insert part here>" done. The differential is leaking so that will be one of the parts replaced.

So now to my question. My children are getting to the size where they are not enjoying the seats in the back. Has anyone done a seat upgrade that has made them more comfortable (i.e. not straight up and down)? If so is there a write up that I can get to help me along? I've done a bunch of wrenching and minor fab work on my vehicles in the past so I'm comfortable with medium level mod/repair work. (water pumps, lower control arms, rack and pinion, minor welding, to name a few)

I did try a quick search of the site, but there's a lot of information here.

And thanks for taking the time to read and post on this thread.

    Shawn

Thanks. That looks quite easy. Now I just need to get my truck back from the dealership.... 8 or more weeks to go.

Nice link. Easy mod to give that bit of comfort angle. I just did something similar to improve my front seat angle by adding a spacer under the front mountings. Tilts the seat bottom angle back a hair to give a better ‘sit’.
