Hey, I've reviewed the thread on tire and wheel options but I'm curious. I have a 2015 2wd with the steel wheels. I'm planning on replacing the wheels soon at Discount Tires and new tires later. My Michelins have 35000 miles. Can't afford to lift or level but would like to raise it as much as possible. My question is has anyone here in my situation installed 275 70s? They would raise the truck a little over an inch. The maximum the chart recommends would be a half inch with 285 65s. The rims I like have a 25 offset. My current wheels are 60. Appreciate your help.

Buddy at work had 275/70/18 KO2’s on his 2nd gen at work. Stock ride height. He says they don’t rub. The 70s are 33” stock 65s are 32”. So it will raise the truck a 1/2”.

You can fit the 275/70/18 on a stock truck with the stock wheels. With the +25mm aftermarket, you may have to remove the mud flaps. I have the same setup with a 2" leveling kit and I had to remove the front rear mud flaps. All trucks can sit a bit differently though, so I can't say for sure. The 2wd's sit a bit lower too.

Thanks guys. 15, I was getting diameters confused with the net effect. Maybe I can find wheels with less offset that I like 44, and avoid any alterations. Don't like the steel wheels and want a more aggressive tire eventually. Decisions decisions. Thanks for your input.

Do you mean -44? I have not seen any wheels with +44 offset.

With -44 offset, you will have to either cut a lot or get some serious lift. I have +18 offset and wheels/tires stick out quite a ways from the factory fender (I have Bushwacker fender flares). If you don't want that, you probably should stay somewhere 25-35 (positive offset).

I put 275 70R18's on stock height '18 Tundra and I had to remove mud flaps on front wheels. I don't like those anyway.

No I was referring to parker44 but thank you. The wheels I like at Discount tires are +25.

No problem and thanks. Mine are Cooper tires and just ordered them on Amazon and had my local repair shop I use throw them on. Saved a bit of money.

I've used coopers and duelers in the past. The Bridgestone is a little pricey these days. Which Cooper did you get?

That's what I plan to get. They have them here for 178. What's the offset on your rims? My truck is 2wd so I know it will be close.

    Rims were 18” x 9”.
