You want to be around 20-25 psi. Easy enough to start at 25 and work your way down as needed.

20 psi should get you a nice sidewall bulge. About half the normal pressure should work. I run 30 and air down to 15.

Only if you keep your speed down. Get yourself an inflator asap.

On straight road, yes. When you go around a corner go slower than you normally would.

And what @BestGen said, get an air compressor or some way to air up tires ASAP. Viair makes some great compact portable compressors that hook up to your battery.

    Just the forum website.

    @eccracer104 and @BestGen

Between Viair and ARB, which do you prefer?

The ARB is nice because you mount it somewhere permanently so you always have it, but it’s more expensive.

The viair compressors are cool because they’re pretty compact and in a bag so you can keep it with your camping/wheeling supplies and throw it in the truck when needed. And a lower cost.

Long term plan, the ARB is a solid investment and gives you the ability to run an air locker in the future if desired. You do need to run a switch into the cab to turn the compressor on and off.
The viair is just simple and easy, no wiring, no mounting, just pop the hood and attach the alligator clamps to the battery and air up.

    Both are solid choices.

Excellent advice. For me it's pretty simple; if you're going to run a locker, it's ARB. Huge price difference compared to ViAir because its on a whole 'nother level! For what most ppl want the ViAir is perfect. It's even easier with the Milwaukee inflator I picked up. It uses the M12 batteries I already had. No need to pop the hood!

Yup, we all want ARB. But if you're not sure if you'll use it enough to "need" it more than this once, you can get one of the Viaiars shown in the products list below this thread. You can get one as small as this:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CDW2MCM

This one will take longer than ARB, and higher powered Viaiar options that attach to your battery under the hood. But you can do the 4 tires of your Tundra and 2 of another parked next to it, in the cycle time before you have to turn it off. But it plugs into the cigarette adapter (and from the one in the rear seat will reach all 4 tires + that hypothetical truck parked next it). And stores easily in the under seat storage (assuming you have that). With any, they get damned hot! Can't put it away right after; instead, I put it in the truck bed to cool on the drive back, then store it away when I get home.

I bought a couple others that did not work for the Tundra because the power cord and air hose lengths weren't long enough to reach to each tire. This one described was the cheapest I found that works.

I think I recall, there's no app because Tapa talk did intrusive stuff with members' info.

Depending on what phone you use though, the user functionality mimics an app, kind of. When I use an iPhone, I have a shortcut on the screen that looks like an app. It opens to the home forum screen with the list of most recently updated threads. Bold lettering lets me know which have new comments since I last viewed it. You can "watch" threads, so you can go back and check to see if you've missed posts on any threads you care about.

It is not as comfortable on my Kindle. On iPhone I get to see who made the most recent comment before I open each thread; on Kindle, I see how long ago the most recent comment was made, which I don't care about, but not who posted it. Both let me stay "signed in".

Anyway, like @eccracer104 said, "conversations" tend to be sporadic and quick, and dependent on who's checking the thread at any given time.

I have to take a day off, it's an 8 hour shoot. But they're paying me more than I make so I'm ok with it. But really I'm just doing it because I've never done anything like this before. Also I'm just going to take the rest of the week off because I'm leaving Thu night for Vegas. It'll be a fun mini vacation. I'll go to Big Bear after the shoot and do some mtb and camp the night. MTB in the morning then go home and then off to Vegas

San Gabriel Cyn..? Sounds like Azusa Cyn. Maybe it's a different place. If it is I haven't heard of it. If it is Azusa then it'll be rocks, stream crossings, and a bottomless mud pit. I think they have a rock course too. I avoid the place. You'll be bored of it in an hour. The best thing about Azusa is watching the sh!t show. Ever see someone trash a $65K(or more)4x that doesn't even have plates yet...? Odds are good you'll see it here. They filmed an episode of American TopGear here once. Adam flipped a brand new Dodge truck iirc and broke his arm. This place likes to cut tires too.

Will do...So far I'm leaning towards the ARB, having multiple vehicles and being able to transport it if I decide to use a different other than the Tundra.
