Thanks. It sat on the lot for two months. I looked at it more than once every day. End of the month. Last couple of days for some rebates. I had to move on it, which I did.

The original price quoted to me was $34,991.00. They went down to $33,041 during negotiations.

Ended up with a TRD O/R in the end. Picked it up yesterday. Ironic given the nature of the thread, I don't have the final numbers handy, but figured I'd post a pic at least.

Hey guys first post on the boards but I can be helpful here.

I just purchased a 2018 4x4 Crew Max SR5 with the TSS package (Regional cosmetic package), came with the convenience package, sr5 upgrade kit, tow package, and probably more but I'm forgetting (it has the fancy cruise control too). The cosmetic stuff is aftermarket wheels, sprayed side steps, BFG K02s, spray in bedliner, and blacked out badges. It's very similar to Foghorns but it's white and black and 4x4.

It stickered for $49,199. I got them down right at $40,500 and they did me really well on my F150 that I traded in. They gave me $1500 over clean trade in book value for it. I negotiated a deal similar to Boomer where I first focused on their truck and negotiated that down then I focused on my trade. I was happy with the deal and ended up with my first Toyota and my first new truck ever.

2018 SR5 TRD off-road with the sr5 upgrade package - nav, center consol, blind spot monitoring, front/rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control... I can’t remember the rest.

$41k OTD with a spray in bed liner thrown in.

    Edit*Sticker price was $47900

    Nope that was everything.

Tax was negotiated to be factored in, and title/registration was $550 and they threw that in as well.

Looking back I ended up getting it for $41,900, so I think it ended up being something like $9,700 off after everything but I don’t remember exactly.

Edit** also, sticker was MSRP. They had already marked it down $2k to $45,900.

Damn I wish I could find a deal like that. The best deal I have is 6K off MSRP then plus TTL. This is for a limited 4X4.

You know I spent an hour going over a limited with them... They seemed much less willing to negotiate on that one.

I really wanted a limited, but I got the cement color on the SR5 so I feel good about it!

I see SR5 are listed by local dealers now $4,000 to $5,000 under MSRP. Makes me wonder how low they're really willing to go now... July sales slipped pretty good for Tundra. Lots of them sitting on dealerships and 2019s will be hitting the pavement soon.

In California you can plan on adding 12% to what ever price you negotiate. Tax, license, etc

Did you trade also? Usually that can also shade some of the true numbers. Dealers are dealing below invoice on these trucks. The question is not *if* theyll go below invoice but by how much... depends on a numbers game the manufacturer is playing behind the scenes and the consumer will not have visibility into.

To make this a little more transparent, I think it's best to go in without a trade and see what they will come down to on their truck. After you've gotten them down on the new truck, then you start negotiations on the trade.

Also, I found the carguru website to be very helpful. I was able to find similar trucks in the area that were listed for well below the sticker prices. That helped me in my negotiations.

I did trade a truck in. I know the finance manager and hes the one who actually worked the deal for me and showed me the doc showing a negative from invoice. He said if they hit they're monthly, quarterly and annual numbers they won't lose money because they get "kick backs" from the manufacturer. It's all about units sold not profit per unit.

I believe it. Like I think I said already here or in another thread there are tundras sitting on lots here in my area 6+ months. Tundra sales were down in July from last year something near 3% IIRC.....but the sheer number of them i see sitting on lots (and based on online inventory numbers) would make me believe that % is probably a conservative number.

How did you manage to get a $52,000 Platinum knocked down $10,000? Then get another 4-5 thousand in options! Let me know, I'll go Monday up there an trade my 2017 4x4 Tundra with 15,000 miles on it which I only owe $14,000 now!
