Anybody looking for a trd sc? I saw one on sale at the Kendall Toyota in Bend Oregon today. $6999. I believe it was including install. I would have bought it if I wouldn't have been killed by the boss at home.

Just a few, more to come
Magnusson is taking over and re-releasing the superchargers for the Tundra/Tacoma/4Runner/FJ, however they seem to be rather slow about it.

Either way at least they will still be available. I just saw it today and know people had been saying they were all sold out.

Not a great deal. I paid about $7300 for mine with a Unichip tuner ($500) Mine is a Magnuson and I had it about 3 days after ordering from Sparks Toyota. That price is everything needed except a different CAI. You do need the Supercharger plus the fit kit and a tuner.

Did you do the installation yourself? If so was it that hard to do? One of these days I plan to get one.

I believe the same as Toyota as long as it's dealer installed. If not, it's a shorter warranty.

I have friends in town with a pro shop, "American Gasser", I had them install and it was much more involved than I realized. You will need to replace the stock intake, mount and plumb the intercooler, install the tuner. I had a violant CAI system that wasn't compatible with the new intake so my guys fabbed up a custom air induction. Estimate is 12 hr install but that to me would only be someone that has completed this install a number of times previously. Mine was more like 2 2/1 days with a little bit of that being trial and error.DSCN0172.jpg DSCN0173.jpg DSCN0174.jpg DSCN0175.jpg

It is true that you must run premium gas. On my ZL1 Camaro, I found that a switch to lower octane fuel will result in the ECM pulling timing out of the tune. It appears that going back to premium doesn't reset it to the original tune. I had my Camaro dyno'd and it was down 60-70 hp at the rear wheels due to the selling dealer running low octane fuel prior to my purchase. I did swap out the pulley on my Camaro Magnuson but nobody I talked to wanted anything to do with upgrading the pulley on the Tundra. Probably not a good idea.
My 2007 is out of warranty so it wasn't a big deal with me, I think the Magnuson warranty is one year. The one big think that I'm interested in now is my truck has 75,000 miles and after going WOT a number of times my transmission is not liking the surge of power. It is just pausing a bit on the shifts and that is not a good feeling. I'm really interested in knowing if anyone is upgrading the trans to be compatible with the supercharged motor.

    From Manguson website:

    Magnuson Superchargers and OEM Warranties
It just might...but not legally! This is best discussed with the service manager or service writer at the dealership where you purchased your ride. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (US Code-Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312) states that the dealership cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to failure in the vehicle. For best results, try working with performance oriented dealerships. Magnuson Products offers a limited extended 3-year 36,000-mile warranty that helps with potential problems with the dealership for additional peace of mind.

CARB is a California thing we can't run it unless it has CARB approval.

California Air Resources Board (CARB). One of the most strict emissions regulated states... definitely need the 'thumbs down' emoticon for CARB. :censored::frusty:

I wouldn't let kendall toyota (aka toyota of bend) change my oil. I've had too many problems with those clowns throughout the years. Have you seen they way they lift their trucks, unsafe spacer lifts. Stay away from that place.
