I want to level out my 17 tundra SR5 4x4 but want to keep the stock rims. I was told I can get a 2 1/2 inch/3 leveling kit for it and it would be fine but was actually thinking of going the 3.5 inch suspension lift. I don’t want the tires to look like they’re stuffed inside but I also can’t go too big of a tire with a stock rim . 285/75/18 maybe?

I run a 285/75/18 on stock wheels. 2.5” level up front. It rubs a little on the front fender liner at full lock but only in reverse. 908D0143-4E51-4F32-B03E-20CD0AFE62B1.jpg

I you do get some rubbing on the front fender liners.....they are easy to move forward.

On a 3.5”, I’d go bigger than 285’s. I’m inclined to believe you could do 35’s on that lift. You’ll just need 1.25” wheel spacers on the stock rims.

Yeah thanks that’s what I’d like to do is go to a larger tire size but I just want to make sure they fit on the stock rims. I believe the rims are 8 x 18 if I’m not mistaken

Despite the thread title the first post describes exactly what you're looking for.

The before pic is my stock 18" SR5 wheels and tires on a ToyTec Boss lift, not maxed to 3".

    20180316_165604.jpg
The after pic is 18" Black Rhino Warlords with a 12 offset. The tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 295/75/18. Same lift. I had to cut and bend some inner fender plastic.

    Hope that helps some.

Yes it does, thank you very much. If I go with the rough country 3 1/2 inch lift I should be perfect with those sized tires without any trimming I imagine.
