So I’m wanting to go with a yellow fog light and some better light out the spyders. What’s y’alls recommendation? Cost is a factor.....

If you just want yellow fogs without increasing output, tint it. Easiest, cheapest, quickest way.

To get better light from the spyders install an HID kit from @Toytec Lifts. They make a kit for those headlights and they have rave reviews. Where LED bulbs in spyders are hit or miss.
For yellow fogs you can tint the lenses with laminex, they probably sell a precut kit.
You could buy yellow bulbs but at 16watts (I think they're 16 or something close) they wont be very bright, much like your current bulbs. I got nokian bulbs and they are ok. I may be selling them soon actually...if you want the bulbs I'll sell them for whatever the shipping cost is, but you may be able to get new ones with free shipping for less or close. Or you can buy the full housing with bulbs installed from me rather than just bulbs if you want 2 sets. I dont recommend putting hid or led bulbs in those stock housings , they will have a ton of glare.
    Here are my yellow bulbs

You can get some bad ass yellow fog2lights from baja designs, the squadron sports. But they are expensive. The output will be better than your headlights most likely

I do like the color and the yellow fog light look. Just not terribly bright because of toyotas choice of bulb.

I think I’ll just go with the tinting method, I appreciate the offer though!! Which kit is it on the toytec site? It’s not what actually fits our make/model/year is it?

Tinting will be perfect for what you want. I wanted yellow light but not yellow lenses. Let me look up the toytec kit for ya

Awesome, thank you! I really just don’t want to try to match fogs to headlights so I figured complete contrast would be easier lol

I have to do some more research. I thought o remember toytec having a lot labeled as for spyders. Now I dont see it and dont see any h9 kits. You'll want h9 so you keep high and low beams for sure.

I think h9 and h11 are compatible. Not sure on high/low function but I think on HIDs it's a shield or should that makes that happen, not and extra filament. Shoot a PM to @Toytec Lifts and I'm sure they'll get ya squared away.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
As @Pudge noted in the quoted post and another your best options for yellow fogs are to either tint or go with @Baja Designs squadrons (Sports or Pro).
As was noted, they're not cheap. But as you may know, with lights; you get what you pay for. For my $, it doesn't get better than BD!
There's a reason our secret ninja's in the sandbox use them on their ORV/ATV's.

From experience I can tell you...
I initially went with yellow bulbs in my fogs. To get the output I wanted, I ended up with a higher wattage bulb than I should have (I can't remember the exact wattage). Point is, the bulbs were way to hot and over time actually melted to the damn light housing!!

I switched up to the BD Squadron Sport last year. One of the best mods/ $ I've spent. Running the back roads, they're actually brighter and have a wider throw than my low beams.

Only because I had looked into Spyders; I looked at the Hikari LEDs to use with them. I want to say they were H11. If memory serves the H9 or H11 has to do the light color being 5K or 6K.

So I’m having trouble getting any additional responses from toytec on these hids.....they originally replied with a link to what I needed, but it’s an h4 kit and I keep seeing that the spyders take h9’s. Also what temperature are toytecs lights? And do they truly improve light output on these?

Not sure what is up with the toytec kits for these spyders. I swear they used to have an hid kit specifically saying they were for spyder headlights and now I cant find them on the website.

If ya go to order a new set of spyder headlights, it states that it has h9 bulbs....so why is @Toytec Lifts saying an h4 kit??? I’m so confused.....the more I research, the worse it gets!
