Looks like quality. I got weather tech on my GTI 2 years ago and the driver side is wearing out fast from shuffling my feet, not real happy with them. Guess my heel-toe dance is too much to handle.

I knew a guy that wore slippers that he kept in his vehicle especially for driving. Hahaha. Yeah, my driverside has a few weak spots that I caulked up before spraying them. These 1st Gens floor mats are hard to find good after market fits. Not gonna spend hundreds on that. These look brand new again.

Changed out 6 year old brake fluid, I remember when it was clear. Used the Motive thing and some cheap Prestone I had for now.

Now that I have fresh fluid in the system I can get down to business...
Upgrading to 13WL calipers, ditching my EBC yellow pads in favor of Hawk LTS, new SS lines with banjo fittings because Fox is dumb, and some fresh Lucas fluid. I didn't want to push the brown crap that was in there through my brand new calipers.

    This should be fun.

Cleaned out the interior of truck yesterday. Highly detailed cleaning. Noticed some evidence of possible leaking at back driver corner of cab (small stain).

Today, cleaned and caulked up third brake light as possible culprit of leak. Went pro-active and caulked front cowl screws and rivet caps based on others experiences of leaks at front location. Used clear adhesive silicone.

No my seals were fine but I replaced them when I regeared. This is the wheel seal on the brakes leaking.

Who makes those and can you get them for the rear? I’ve been thinking of doing the sequoia brake conversion but those are a lot nicer.

The calipers are just OEM rebuilt, I went with Beck Arnley, hopefully they're good. If you meant the rotors those are really old cryo treated ones I got from auto anything long ago, can't recall the brand.

Finished up caulking the 2 weather strips on the top of the cab. One was a bit loose as the double side tape was starting to fail. Caulked the top strips where they transition into the front and rear windows. I can see where a leak is very possible in these locations as there are slots that the strips dive down into the front and rear glass seals.

Confirmed the strips are not screwed in and its just double sided tape.

Finally got a break in the rain today so I decided to make an adjustable canopy for the truck. Just need to paint all the hardware and I will be ready for the next camping trip.

I've been brainstorming a way to do something just like this. Unfortunately I don't have any roofracks, yet, so the only anchor points I can think of are the shell's door handles, so I'd be limited to a tarp off the back end, and be at the mercy of the gas struts to hold up that end. (Obviously I could add a brace there too.)

Anyhow, I was thinking of buying some generic tent poles, but...are those just PVC pipes? Looks interesting!

Cleaned out debris from the wheel well panel. Used a clothes hanger type wire with a hook on the end. Took about 5 minutes per side. Also tightened up the Jesus handles on the passenger side front and back.

Throw your rope over and attach to the undercarriage as your other anchor points. Use the two poles like pictured. I’ve done it before and it works.

Yes they are pvc pipe 1in into 1.25 I drilled holes every 6 inches for various heights cap on the 1in pipe with a bolt through it to grab on the tarp corners. I mounted a piece of superstrut to the racks on the roof and used washers to hold the tarp to it. Once I get everything painted and reinstalled I will post up some better pictures.

In preparation for replacing the entire stereo system, I removed the rear cab panel and investigated how much room the stock jbl amp has. With some minimal cutting, I’m positive I can fit a 4 channel and a mono amp back there.

Since I had the panel off, I removed the metal panel and disconnected the switch plug that stops the rear window half way when rolling it up in a DC. It’s the little things in life that keep me going.

Purchased valve cover seals, spark plug tube seals, sealant for valve cover, grommet for PCV valve, PCV valve, and new cover bolts with the rubber washers. $tealership prices leaving me many dollars short for just a small brown lunch bag of goods. Well at least the labor is ‘free’.

Where specifically does this Toyota sealant need to be applied when I’m doing this gasket replacement? Corners and half moons?

Ordered a headunit, backup camera, speakers, enclosure, sub and amp today. Should have the jbl shit out and new components in by the end of the weekend. Then some bass by this time next week. Im becoming impatient already.

I want to do my system over from scratch. I installed a system for my wife's younger cousin a few months ago and it sounds better than mine... the little bastard. Back when I did my stereo you had to go to a store to buy stuff, now with Amazon and so many online retailers it's scary easy to just do some drunk browsing and buy stuff.

Do me a favor and don't post any pics of your new set up :D last thing I need is to put away a few beers and dump 1200 on tunes.

I can’t promise that I won’t. It’s nothing special. This whole system is less than the kenwood double din in my old 4Runner 11 years ago. Prices are extremely reasonable now. Even if I end up adding a 4 channel, I’ll still be under 1200. Crutchfield and Walmart(surprisingly!) beat out Amazon.

Haha I'm just joking, but I really am fighting the urge. The prices are so much cheaper now. When I did my system a decent 4 channel was around $400, now they can be had under $150.
