So we all love to Mod our Tundras, but outside of that, what else are you working on?
I just saw this video and it's giving me the itch to get back to wood work:

    Some previous projects:

Nice work! Are those integrated dog food & water bowls at the bottom of shelves? Nifty idea....

My wife wants a rectangular planter with trellis on wheels, seen on pintrest. Trying to figure out best wood that will not rot or decay over time. It might just be an 8-10 yr design thinking..........

With a recent/ongoing house remodel, I have had a few projects. I made a couple of barn doors for the house. Here is one I made that included a full-length mirror.barn_door2.jpg

Teak is great for outdoors, because of its high oil content. However, anything can work well if you seal it properly. Keep some clear coat on it and it will be fine. Just remember it will need touch up coats every so often (depending on your weather conditions).

More worried about the inner part that will have wet soil in contact with wood. Thinking of a liner of some sort.

Teak; redwood; white oak...these hold up even with constant contacts to m0!$+ soil. But! You could line the interior with pavers to lesson the contact of wood with soil. It'd be very heavy; probably best to add the pavers when the planter is built and in place. Could also use a feeding trough from a livestock supply; build a surround of wood if she doesn't like the look of the metal trough.

I'm excited to see what you do. :)

Think Pavers will be too heavy to keep mobile. I was thinking of a Plastic trough / tub like device to build around but was not finding one. I may need to look for a metal one. Thanks for the tip.!

Really cool! Maybe in about 30-40 years you can build one with a Tundra tailgate, after they are considered classic.........

My first build the 78 C10 stepside custom deluxe. 5.3 ls swapped and on air ride. Took me four years of building to drive it.

Current build is repairing this horse trailer for our horses.

I'll mount it in the bed of my truck, bolted through the bed and nuts welded to the bolts.

I’ve made a ton of “stuff” over the years but my primary “homemade” interest is knives. I used to make a lot and sell them but now I’m down to making only 4 or 5 a year. It gives me something to do on days I’m bored.

Thanks for the compliments! I hardly sell any these days. I just make what I want and work on them when I’m in the mood, no pressure. They sell pretty quick when I list them.

Yes, I do press all my own kydex. The push daggers are ridding around on some LEO duty belts. (Hence the “thin blue line.)

I sub out the leather. That is an art form all in itself and I’m not good at it.

Sometimes the kydex is almost as challenging as the knives. I have very basic kydex tools so it can be a chore to accomplish what I’m trying to achieve.

Very nice work indeed! Great look on the TBL too!

I got into kydex a few years ago, and have been self taught (with the aide of YT). I've done a variety of sheaths for knives, hatchets and guns/mags so I understand the challenges...Style and function don't always work together. It's fun when it all comes together tho. You've certainly done some nice work! :hattip:

I'd imagine if you ever decide to sell anymore, you could find some customers on here.
