Cool tnx, yeah I thought so. I did think however to remove all u show except for the chrome cupholder blinders that the whole middle console needed to be removed first to get to all that. Tnx for the info. U might have just given me another bad idea to go along with the shifter and chrome cupholder ring. As I said I thought that was the only 2 parts that pop off easy without having to remove whole middle console.

I did see on a Taco Tunes video that the whole thing comes out easy, but there was no point to take it all out since each individual piece needed to be removed anyway. Glad I can help with the mod ideas .

Hey Rob, bare with me here. I try to give as much info as possible along with reasoning to help others, plus I'm long winded at times. Believe it or not it's just simply a wheel cover. I got it on Amazon after much searching. I'm hesitant to pull my wheel apart and I have zero experience ever sewing or doing anything remotely close to install a steer wheel leather wrap. I was sold on doing the Lonocky leather wrap with red stitching(think spelled that way) that I've seen many do here and t.c FB. It looks phenomenal when done right. However to get a tight fit many took apart wheel. Many said it's a whole day job. I even went to 2 custom upholstery shops by me but they quoted me ridiculous prices to install.

As much as I wanted to do the leather wrap I'm nervous about fn it up. I'm more of a put a manly tool in my hand and I'm good. A needle not so much. I'm also pretty ADD,OCD, or whatever 3 letter word it is about shit. Small little imperfections will bother me everyday looking at it and I'm not sure I could pull it off to my standards.

So I went the next most inexpensive route, that I was sure I could pull off, buying the Valleycomfy wheel cover. I did a bunch of obsessive research on it before buying it just like all else I buy. I want to say it was only 20 something dollars on Amazon. It solves my wheel wear issue and at the very least stops it from further wear. Cheap ass wheel Toyota, had to get that out.

I'm not sure I'll keep it and may end up buying a replacement wheel all together. But I'm going to keep my eyes open for a perfect condition used 1. I'm guessing I won't find that anytime soon. So this is my resolution for now. It's actually very comfortable if u like a wider wheel feel. The material itself is very soft and feels good too. I think it looks pretty decent, especially for just being a wheel cover. Under normal circumstances I'd rock the stock wheel if it wasn't going to look like shit. In general I hate wheel covers and would never buy 1. Felt like I had no choice on this 1 so thanks a lot Toyota, less than 30k miles and it already got wear signs. I don't even hold the wheel in same spot, switch hands and where I hold it depending on what I'm doing. Even so, I had a bunch of wear spots starting that only would get worse.

Sorry for tangent, I'm always good for that. To answer ur simple question with a simple response, just erase all my steam blowing above and stretch it over it. It took about 10 min. It's tight as hell which is probably a good thing. Not so much on putting it on, but good for use. I sat in my truck sweating my u know what off bc I needed the wheel locked to put on. Start from the top and just work it around stretching it as u fight it to go on. If anyone does get it, just a word of advice, put it on soon as u get it. To ship they fold it in half and put a couple rubber bands on it. I knew from other reviews this is way they ship. I'm guessing if u left it in the packing for some time after receiving it, that fold and the rubber band creases will probably be harder to get out. I put mine on the same day I got it and by the next day those impressions on the cover were gone by then. Hope this helps.

I saw that there too and didn't really want to go thru all that, but I thought the only part that had the glue rivets was the very small chrome piece directly around shifter. Didnt know it was the larger silver piece that had them.

Just the same as replacing the silver radio surround with black, along with the chrome ac vents making black. Much as I'd like to do I'm not really interested in taking apart my whole entire dash. Too bad it don't just pop out, I had a whole bunch of cool ideas and plans for it all. After seeing what's involved I decided it don't look that bad the way it is lol.

I had the same idea and wanted to swap the radio surround too, but I'll live with the silver for now. One of the first things I wanted to do to the truck was swap the interior door handles with black ones from the SR, I didn't realize you have to take the door panels off to do it. I might still do that, we'll see.

Hey Josh, I'm interested in the cross bar setup, the one that mounts to the DB. Have a link for that? Definitely interested in that, but not so much for the bike racks. Tnx buddy.

What's the 'brake' in procedure (hah, get it) for them? Or is there none?

I've read so many different procedures by "internet experts" that conflict each other, I've just gone with what I've done in the past.
A few slow-speed stops to get out of town, then a few 40mph to 10mph stops, then a couple 60mph to nearly zero panic stops immediately releasing the brakes, then just drive it normally after letting them cool down a bit. I've always had success this way. My thinking is to get them good and hot to get a little material to bond to the rotor surface but not to stop on a hot rotor with the pads clamped down.
    Works for me :)
