Meh. Looks like this post would've been interesting had the OP not been so vague about it. Read every comment. But it doesn't explain anything. Why is a 1 year old truck missing its internals.

No. It’s at a storage now, obviously outside but it’s going to get moved into a garage as soon as I make space for it.

From the length of the grown weeds, it looked like the spot. Was the interior gutted also? what's the trim level is the QS and what trim level is the parts truck
Whats your game plan ? As you can tell I am very interested in seeing your progress

Bought this truck as is, without the internals.

Why are the internals are missing?? I have no clue.
I assume the internals were stolen. Please don’t ask me why people steal stuff lol

Anyway, I bought another truck (as a parts truck) that’s a 2015 Tundra and I’ll take all the internals and put them back into the QS.

Now, if anyone else still has questions about it ,
I ask other forum members who do get the concept, please help me out! :help:

Youve made a wise choice pulling an engine from a white tundra. Its well-known they are the fastest.

Nah, I left it there cuz I had no space indoors.
It took me a bit to find a parts truck...frustrating too
Slowly it’s starting to come together, parts truck, a place to work on the whole project etc...

Interior: seats where unbolted but not taken.
Radio was gutted and smashed..beats me why be so brutal to a poor radio.

I’ll add more details as I remember.

If I miss something obvious, folks, help me out! :)
It’s supposed to be a fun project but it’s taking more of my time then I though. Ha ha.

    I believe it’s an SR5 trim level.

Well the QS (quicksand) is going to need a raidtiator support for sure, taking it from the parts truck would be very time consuming and not to mention it to might need replacement too. Did you check for motor/trans from @ salvage yard? Hope you got a sweet deal on both. More pictures would be nice.

Fruits of hard-labor are always sweet.

Don't worry about the head unit that as many here have upgraded their head units and speakers If you search around you'll find folks that might be will to sell it to you along with many other parts.

I think this may be your opportunity to upgrade much internals for higher trim level - but I think this path is worth it if you're going to keep the truck and enjoy it.

Looks like the rear of your parts truck took a huge hit with the angle of the rear wheel?

I plan on using the radiator support from the parts one. @dealers its like $600.
Did check salvage yards, no go. I’m missing/cut engine compartment harness’.
So I would have to run around getting this and that and @salvage yard/stealership no offense, would nickel and dime you to death lol selling you little things. And it’s not a fact it would fit.
Going the route with a parts truck was the better option it seems. EVERYTHING is at your fingertips!!!
And No I did not get a deal on the parts truck but I wish I did though. My only problem was the waiting part. I’m sure if I waited longer I would of gotten a better deal.
Would love to get this Toyota done while it’s still warm outside.

BTW, I’ll be parting out the whole entire truck but after I’m done with the swap.

You can easily fit a wide assortment of available 33” tires on those rims. I think that’s a good size for the truck assuming you don’t plan ona lift of more than 3” or so.

Hmmm, I’d suggest that you peruse this forum for pictures of various tire/lift combinations. This could help you prevent investing in something you don’t like.

    Too many to list
There was a member here with a white truck that was hit similar to yours. His went to insurance auction. Not sure if u got it from insurance auction and is probably his.

Salute to you for doing this project. I have done something similar and took me about 15 months. My truck was hit up to the radiator support but only piece that is painted after i fixed it is front driver side fender.

Its wasnt an easy task but i found a 2014 CM in early 2017 w 20k miles for $12,000.

    Thanks.
If I saw a picture of his truck then I could say if it was his.

You got it for a good deal that’s for sure.
I paid more for my parts one and it’s more damaged then your, according to your post.
