    Understandably you would have those feelings, and it’s not wrong to be pissed at someone for doing this to a family. The problem with addiction is the level of self-centered/selfishness mindset. He was too consumed to be able to see how terribly it’ll affect family members, even when his remorse is eating him up.

    I feel for his mom. I too am a stepdad but they are half his age. It about killed me when I found out my 17 yr old was doing drugs. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be biologically attached under those circumstances.

    The best you can do is the best you can do for his mother and your grandkidS. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t make them “recover” from this very quickly
