    Hello there,
I am a newer member that bought a 2014 Tundra. The Tundra came equipped with what I believe are Spyder headlights w/ an LED headlight kit. Well the passenger headlight just went out the other night and I was debating about improving to a better LED kit.

I looked under the hood to get an idea of the current headlight kit that I am running and I noticed a part labelled "OPT7". Anyways, I must say that what I have now looked nice, but the output could be a lot better.

Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Erik

From everything I have read, the spyder headlights perform best with an HID kit installed, better than LEDs. Toytech sells a kit you should check out

You may not like my answer, but I would switch to the 18' OEM LED headlight assemblies or do a retrofit with quality parts and little bells and whistles.

If not those, I would just run regular halogen bulbs designed for your halogen reflectors. Otherwise you will be that guy blinding everyone.

Is there an HID kit that would work with the 18 lights? I just got an 18 SR5 and hate the halogens so i got HID bulbs.....i don't like the pattern it gives off so a full kit is what i need

What you need is a full hid PROJECTOR retrofit kit not just the bulbs. There's a ton of options out there

HID kit will do the job well. you will also need to apply some silicone type sealer all around your Spyder headlight seals because they tend to allow air and moisture into the headlight casing. HIDs don't last very long around moisture and excessive air.
