We are just a few more days away from the event!! As of right now we have around 16 definetes coming but were guessing there will be a few people who choose to come last minute, and that's okay! Our event is set up to be a great one, especially with @driverdog excellent work of getting a variety of samples to try. The weather is shaping up to be sunny and 85 degrees. We've had some great meet ups gearing towards this event and I'm sure I can speak for the admins of this event with saying we are very excited to have the second annual tundra meet up, so we can have more Virginia based meet ups
Please let me, @driverdog or @BayRunner know if you have any questions about the event

    Kyle

To all, The event is picking up some speed, and with the help of @driverdog and @BayRunner, it's looking to be a good one. Again the event is set for 9/22/18 (which is a Saturday) and is a two part event. The first event will be a meet and greet/detail clinic (hosted by @driverdog) at 8052 Elm Dr. Mechanicsville, VA 23111 from 10am to 2pm. We will be providing drinks and food so come out and learn some great detailing techniques and meet other Tundras.com members.
The second event will be at Hardywood Breweries West Creek Location at 820 Sanctuary Trail Dr, West Creek, Richmond, VA 23238 from around 3pm til whenever. This location has a ton of great beer options as well as food, and a large location so we're not all cramped up. Reservations for this venue isn't available without putting down some serious cash, so we are going to just move some tables together.
Lodging is on your own, but some people are staying at a Hampton Inn
    http://www.booking.com/Share-gvi2qJ

Attached is also the flyer for the event. If you know you are able to make it, and your name is not on the attending list below, please let me know so we can have as best of a head count as possible.
Also please share around with other Tundra/Toyota Enthusiast so we can get a large turn out!

    Thanks
    Kyle

To all, the event it now set for 9/22/18 so it's alittle over a month and a half out but things are starting to look good. We have a official meet point at @BayRunner 's generosity local business at 8052 Elm Dr. Mechanicsville, VA 23111. This space will allow us to have running water to wash trucks, Electricity, and bathrooms Right now talking with @driverdog we are looking to do a two part event. First part will be at bayrunner's location which will have a meet and greet and a detailing clinic. This is right now looking to be from 10am-2pm. We are hoping to have food and non-alcoholic drinks there. After the activities end, the festivities begin, were we are looking to either go to some of Richmond's great craft breweries or Buffalo Wild Wings for food and drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). I will be calling local hotels in the next week to get a blocked room rate for anyone who wishes to stay the night. If you have anything that could possibly benefit this event, please let me know. Also, please spread the word of mouth to get some Tundra/Toyota lovers to come out. The more people we have come out will determine whether we can do an event like this more often than once every other year.

As of right now the list of people coming and what they're bringing
Me Sound system, Give aways, banners, hotdogs, drinks and chips
@BayRunner Location, location, location, hot dogs drinks and chips

    "Hello Everybody
A few years ago, I saw there was a Tundras.com Meet up in Virginia in Richmond, and hasn't been one since 2016. I am interested to see if anyone would like to do another meet up in Richmond again. I think Richmond is a great place for VA since its Central to everyone and is pretty much a day trip for everyone. I want to see if anyone would be interested in attending so I can get some solid plans together and get reservations. I am thinking Mid September (September 15 if no one has any complaints) because its after summer Vacation so not a lot of people are travelling, its a few months out so its not last minute plans but nothing you have to look too far ahead, and its a Saturday so its not during a regular work week hours.

If you would be interested, just comment here. And if we get enough people ill get the date officially set and start making phone calls for reservations, and working with the local Toyota dealer to try and get some of their new pretty tundras to come out.

    Kyle"

I'll try and come out. @driverdog had a suggestion of showing some detailing skills I think a lot of owners would be interested in that

Since ill be planning this event based on yalls input, I put up a poll on what weekend works best, if there's a Saturday that works better for the majority, then ill plan it out for that day. @Angelslure @driverdog @Hermel @BayRunner

oh, yeah because this was just for planning a VA meet up at like bar or something, not something worth driving like 20+ hours to get to

BTW, If we need a parking lot to use, we could use one of a small office complex in Mechanicsville, VA. This is a suberb area of Richmond on the I-295 loop in the North-East quadrant. I think this may be useful. We would have access to water and power if need be.

That definetly might be worth looking into. Going there for the meet up and taking that party somewhere else like a bar or brewery

Yea, perhaps a 2 part type event. A day meet and greet and clinic doing truck things with snacks and beverages. and then perhaps a secondary event for a dinner or something like that. I know I may be out of the norm, but personally I'm not a bar guy and do not like environments like that.

@driverdog I'm sure you know more about detailing than I do. If you want to take that part of it. Find some vendors and try to get some samples and I'll find places and set times and advertise. It would be a big help

@BayRunner do you still have access to that office? If so then I say let's do a meet up, detailing clinic. Get toyota out with some pretty trucks.

Then I'll work to get an after party going for beers and dinner

@driverdog I appreciate the courtesy this meeting is for all of us so I just want it to be what people could want. If people just want to show up to detail and meet that's what they can do. If they want to go and meet and drink. That's alright too. If both. Why not

Would love to come meet up with the crew.

Would be nice to caravan down with a few (Marylan-dras)

Send out the final product date etc.

TriState meet (Maryland. DC and Virginia)

So our event will be September 22 from what looks like the majority of people can attend. @driverdog can you start contacting vendors for samples. @BayRunner I saw in previous thread you had access to an office with water and power. Is that still possible? Also if we can spread the word around and get around 20 people confirmed, that would be great!

I’m marking it down on my calendar and will have my Miller 225 mounted on the truck so if there’s no power from a building that can run anything y’all need.

I don’t have anything yet in the way of raffle stuff but I’ll be sure to have plenty of business cards for y’all, haha

Yes, the office is still available.

    8052 Elm Dr.
    Mechanicsville, VA 23111

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/8...abe98c01d11cc1!8m2!3d37.5966425!4d-77.3735798

These offices are M-F business so the lot will be mostly empty on the weekend. I am one of the owners so no problem there. Will have access to:
    • Water - faucets in the rear of the building but plenty of space for washing of several trucks if needed
    • Electric - Will run extension cords to inside of office. I can supply cords
    • Restroom - Clean restrooms will be available from one of the offices.
I definately like the idea we discussed on a detailing clinic. @driverdog would be very helpful on this. If we can get one of the supply shops to donate some items to work with, that would be great. I do have my personal batch that would be useful for observations (wouldn't go very far with multiple trucks).

I do not have any awnings so if someone has access to any, that would be great.

I can also volunteer to supply food and drink (non alcoholic). There's a Buffalo Wild Wings right down the road and this seems ideal for easy eating. If anyone has any other ideas on this front, I'm open to suggestions.

I will be most likely(work schedule pending)attending I would volunteer my truck to be detailed but I have a 1995 F150 now until the next gen comes out or until I get bored and want to get another Tundra. I will be one of the people in the clinic learning for sure. I have a few supplies I can bring also such as a portable grill, table and maybe a canopy.

This is shaping up to be an awesome event thanks @kwinfield94

Anyone else heard of it tried Alien Wash? I buddy of mine got it and we washed my truck with it a couple weeks ago... granted I don’t have a bed but to wash the cab only took about 20 minutes and didn’t require any water!
