2018 grill swap

I’m looking at buying a 2017 limited grill with surround off Craigslist. My question is, will I be able to take the swap the inserts and it fit my 2018 sr5?

 

YES....
However, do you have the adaptive Cruise Control? You may need to relocate/mod the new insert to retain functionality of this system. There is a wire/sensor behind the emblem of the 2018's that needs to go somewhere on the new insert.

I kept the SR5 insert and just replaced the surround (to color match/get rid of chrome)

 

This is exactly what I am wanting to do. I want to keep the honeycomb insert and use the black surrounding. I have chrome on my truck right now
