For the last year or so, I've been dabbling in motion work. I finally got serious with it about a month ago. It's been a welcome addition to my skill set and I am thoroughly enjoying it. There's a slight old school aspect to it (manual settings, manual focus) that I love.

I've been holding off sharing the full videos (here or elsewhere) as I wanted to get to the point where I felt the motion work matched my stills work. It's really close. So, here's a few.

Lucky for me, I have built in models who've had cameras in their faces since birth. Excellent practice subjects and I don't have to pay them... :D

This one is a wee bit shaky as I was still pretty bandaged up from my hand surgery. For you CO folks, if you haven't been up here, you need to go. Like now.

I've got a handful of things simmering but it'll be another few weeks until I share any of that.

    Nice work Sean.

I find it fascinating when people find something they truly love to do and have a passion for it.
On the flip side, not everyone that has a passion for something should per-sue it. You sir, do not fall into that category.

I know nothing about film or the making of such clips. Nothing I film or photo ever turns out but you sir have a touch. Very interesting videos. Showed the dancing one to the misses (former dancer herself) and she bout came to tears. Says what a beautiful video and beautiful young lady with a bright future in dance.
    Thanks for sharing

You’re welcome and thank you. Roxy has a gift for sure. She’s currently in NYC training with the Bolshoi Ballet for the remainder of the summer. In another year, we expect her to be going away somewhere full time.

Trying hard right now to find a way back to it full time. The barriers and risks are a little bigger this time around then when I did it 15 years ago.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.

fun times in telluride last week. while i wasn't truly on vacation, in between conference calls and other day job related stuffs, i managed to throw this together. there was a lot more in my head that i had wanted to do/film but with the day job, my time got pretty limited.

hope you don't mind 6 minutes of the slavin family running around town.
